The last time Kedah and Selangor met in Charity Shield or better known as Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Cup is in 1997 where Selangor won by 2-0. For the last five years, Kedah managed two plays twice, but lost to Perlis in 2008 and 2007. Selangor last won is in 2002 when they beat Terengganu 2-1, but also failed to win this cup for the past five years. It was Perak and Perlis who managed two won Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Cup twice in a row.

Year 2009 will be the third time for Kedah to feature in this match. While Selangor who never win against Kedah in four matches they met in 2008. When Kedah play against Selangor in Darul Aman Stadium last year, it was a bitter pill to swallor when Selangor whipped by Kedah 6-2 while second league match played in Selangor they lost 1-0.

Kedah and Selangor rivalry continue when both team met in FA Cup final played at Shah Alam Stadium where Selangor lost 3-2 to Kedah. The last match played by both teams is in Malaysia Cup final at Bukit Jalil where Kedah won by 3-2.

This game expects to be a tight and crucial games which both team try to break their jinx. Kedah want to win the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Cup in their third appearances while Selangor want to beat Kedah after losing in the last four matches against Kedah in 2008.

Selangor having major haul up in 2009 after failed to win any silverware in 2008. They have new tactical master, K. Devan who successfully guide Kuala Muda Naza to win Malaysia Premier League and promoted to Malaysia Super League. Players like Hamsani Ahmad, Khairul Anuar Baharom, K. Nanthakumar, Hardi Jaafar will make their debut in Selangor colour and Kedah will introduce Farizal Rozali, Azrul Ahmad and Shahrulnizam Mustapha in famous green yellow jersey.

In Selangor camp, Zameer Zainun expected to be used by K. Devan to fill the under 20 quota while Azraai Khor have two options on Mohammad Nazri Baharom or Mohd Faizal Abu Bakar. These youngsters can stole the limelight as what Fadly Baharom did last year.

For both team supporters, come out and support your team. Selangor FA reported sending 10buses packs with Selangor supporters and home crowd Kedah expected to pack the stadium based on past two year’s trend. Good luck to Kedah and Selangor.

Takpe, Hamsani tu first half je, & dr experience aku, sbbnye yelah glove dia. Kalu korg prasan, 2nd half dia dh tukar glove, & suma tangkapan high balls melekat2. Takde hal la tu.

hamsani aku rs ok. tp xtau la sbb licin ke ape ke. but aku rs die still orait. backup keeper pn ada nasril nourdin tu. sian die, ade potensi tp dtg sini kene jd 2nd fiddle.

in terms of the game, aku rs sayang la lepas 1 goal at the end tu. aku duk harap clean sheet after a good shut out of about 88 mins. n i like the signings at least. shore up defence selangor yg bocor sng gle taun lps (awal sgt tu tuk pujian sebegini). but at least dgn ada hardi tu main amri, at least tau lar ada sum1 yg akan jadi playmaker kt tgh tu instead of just gune wing je manjang. tp botak tu ske sgt shoot yg merapu tu yg tension tu. but at least for today, die jalankan tugas as a CM yg protect back 4 dgn berguna even tho that's not his natural position.

last skali, hasbullah awang ni mmg lar. dah red card tu red card je la. padang licin la ape la. aku rs dh 2-3 second kut die pegang bola. xkan stud still nk tunjuk kut. seb baik la die pejam mata tu.

sian gak aku nengok muke die ble kene sub smlam. terpaksa menabahkan muke walopon malu awal2 dah kene sub.

Whoa.. keeper, kalu kena sub, malu wei.. unless kalu injured ke ape la. Tp kalu lepas buat 2 mistake yg bagi goal kat opponent, pastu dan2 kena sub, mmg moral drop gila. Kurang2 sebulan dua gak baru recover tu. Game vs Vietnam tu pun dh lama gak. Tp still belum recover lagi.

Mungkin ada suwey la sesapa yg jadik keeper Malaysia..pasal dulu2 Azizion kadir punyer terrer main utk NS, pas main utk Malaysia, teru lingkup..nasib yg sama menimpa Eliza kot huhu..anyway, 2nd goal jer mistake dia..1st gol freekick, 3rd goal defence Kedah tak marking..

Aku harap2 kemenangan ke atas Kedah ni akan menyuntik semangat baru utk team Selangor..syabas kepada K. Devan dan team Selangor..
