yes....it is irrelevant if u dont have ori ps2 games to play with....but for those who have it...then u should really think about getting 40GB vs 80GB(atleast it has software emulation).......

its worth buying a 60GB/80GB. upscaling PS2 games does make them nicer on certain HDTVs. and then it can also upscale R1 DVDs. stevechan360, if u can find a good online retailer/ebayer and willing to pay the import tax, get a US 60GB like andy

for me,this is a big ass dilemma
i've 3 ori NTSC UC ps2 games (ZOE,GT3,MGS2)
and more(4-6) PAL PS2 games (spider-man 2,Spiderman,LOTR TROTK,etc)

so either way i'm f*cked to a certain degree..

get a R3 ps3 ^40gb model,cant play any of those games
get a R2 ps3 ^40gb model,can only play my PAL games
get a R1 ps3 ^40gb model,can only play my limited NTSC UC games

and i think when i get a ps3,my ps2 goes into the storage...no place to put both

dilemma dilemma dilemma....

why the headache guys? PS2 games are meant to be played on a PS2 (at least that's what i think). people buy the PS3 to enjoy next gen games. i for one am not thinking much on backward compatibility. price would be my main consideration. and the new 40GB hit a sweet spot in my book. at last an affordable PS3!

is white ps3 surface prone to scratch...or for whatever reason it will someday turn to those yellowish plastic...
