1. Keep a viewing cone of about 30degrees.  More or less up to you, as long as you are comfortable.  For me, I sit at about 1.3x screen width which works out to be a 40degree viewing cone.

1.5x is a bit too far, feel like watching a big TV oni.  I sit between 1.2 to 1.3 for that immersive cinema feeling.  Have no problems with screen door.  Thumbs up to the Epson TW700, actually no screen door from 0.8x.  But if you are really sensitive to screen door then I recommend Panasonic projectors, even at 0.3x cannot see the pixel.  But ultimately its ur choicelah....

Wide is better in most cases, coz fills your field of view and thus gives you a very immersive experience.  However you want to avoid sitting too near when watching movies like "The Blair Witch Project" and "Cloverfield"... .  Halfway thru the show I could not take it, vomited and then slept immediately!!

This peasant/elite thinking is a self imposed restriction.  And u know what, while it may seem harmless now, this thinking will confine and hamper your aspirations more than u know.  Nobody here puts you down, so why do it to yourself.  I never noticed such a caste system in LyN, everyone is on par in terms ofwhat they aspire to achieve.  Just different timing only.  So don't beat yourself up just because u expect the others to do it to u.

Stay positive and visualise what you want.  Believe me, when you wnat it hard enuf, you will get it.
