Guys I'm testing the battery now with everyday normal usage, charged full at 24/11 3AM, use only within 5 mins call, 5 mins wifi, 10mins bluetooth, few SMSes, few mins of music listening through headphone, few shots and few mins of video shooting, until now still full bar!

But hor I can tell the battery meter is very inaccurate, first 2 bars actually is around 40% and the rest is 60% and once left 4 bars the battery seems to used up pretty fast...Anyway I'm impressed with the battery life...1200mAh really no play play one...Better than my E70! thumbup.gif
*
how can u be impressed by judging with 5mins of calls, and a few mins of this and that.
i charge 10+ hours nightly when sleeping, battery always die before 12midnite, and that is when i barely made any calls
imagine if got alot of calls coming, lol, ppl will laugh at u when u say battery finish "coz using n95" lol sweat.gif
im saying this coz i was a k800 user and im dissapointed with 1200mah battery lol
at least if can last 2days acceptable la..this one cant even last 3/4 of day

Haha I know SE battery damn good despite they're mostly lower than the Nokia's. My gf's eiten can really last very long but hoh think that's only a normal phone and ours are smartphone with proper OS plus so many functions and features. If you've ever use a Dopod/HTC, their 1300mAh also can die very very fast...

But as I said I only judging from a point from how a long term nokia supporter will think. Even my E70 should last for long time but I definitely feel N95 8GB can tahan even longer even with more or less the same daily usage. But how come yours always die before mid night? That's a bit unusual, no?
*
yea i know , smartphone and normal phone battery usage difference, just ranting tongue.gif
i dunno why my battery sux,
maybe going to get another battery from nokia store if they have one

Hmm I think UMTS also handle normal voice calls and SMS (perhaps everything that GSM offered). However, there must be a reason for the Dual Mode option exist. I think calls made with GSM only phones cannot be received by a UMTS only phone? I don't think the network can be translated since as your quoted info stated both network are not compatible with each other. I could be wrong, though... hmm.gif

battery life improved a lot due to DVFS. N95-8GB battery can be used on N95-1 IIRC, that should boost more life.

no, battery size different

I bought original battery 3 weeks ago from 1 Utama Nokia shop RM260 per pc. The original battery in indonesia is very cheap compared to Malaysia where u have to pay 30% tax on handphone accessories. Last week i check with Nokia Indonesia still no stock yet. I bought original Nokia BL-5C for only RM40.00, i think you have to pay over RM100 for this battery in Malaysia. As for destop charger better get in Singapore compatible one cos TAS(Sirim in Malaysia) approved.

battery u bought from ou is bl-5c? thats not n95 8gb battery
