With redone lowest play red8 or something, u probably have to turn off cellular data for most apps except those payment or reward apps. You can easily surpass the 1gb quota if not careful such as not turning off vpn when outside, etc. They also don't allow option to kill your internet once you reach the quota. I remember ended up paying rm80+ once.

Does anyone know which provider also has budget plan, doesnt have to be rm8, but with higher bandwidth? I used umobile rm38 plan before it was ok, unlimited, but because i stay at home most of the time so it's not for suitable for me.

Ohhh never thought of prepaid had such good deals, thanks! while the drawback is the topup part, 20gb sure makes life easier! I might consider if their topup process is easily accessible or just one click away

but you need to deal with yes 4g network which i heard no good at all.meanwhile all other MNOs utilize celcom network with the exception of unifi with combination of maxis and their own network.

unifi unifi5g wow 10 seems good for your use case.

rm10 reload extend validity for 30 days

with that rm10 you can buy rm2 per gb data which valid for 365 days

the downside is call/sms expensive

or just get the RM30 - 365 validity and buy the 2GB data.
Else the rm30 - 180 days for 30GB also worth.

there's a catch for this YES prepaid.
u need active plan + active line.
active plan is easy, just purchase the RM10 plan in app.
but to maintain line active, it's 2 days for every RM1 top up.
meaning, u thought u just need fo top up RM10, buy the 20GB plan for 1 month.
but RM10 only gave u 20 days of validity. once your line inactive, even if your plan is active u also cannot use.
so in the end, u'll need to RM15.

but there's another "but"!
there is no option to top up RM15, the exact 30 validity days that match your plan.
got top up option for RM 5, 10, 30, 50, 100.
if u top up RM 10, then 5 (or vice versa), u'll only get 20 days validity, cuz the it overlaps.
so u need to top up RM10, theb 20 days later, another RM5.
it's a hassle.

so technically, u'll end up spending RM15 instead of RM10.
u thought the extra RM5, u can purchase other things, like celcomdigi or hotlink prepaid, u can use your credit to buy in app vouchers.
but YES store literally has ntgh, so u'll probably spend the extra credit purchasing data, call time, or sms bundle.
u can transfer to ither YES users, but good luck finding other YES users.

& the biggest downside is, YES coverage is still shit till this day, especially if indoor, mall underground.
5G coverage mostly same, cuz DNB, but their 4G is slower than other telco.

Hotlink app is pretty convenient. Just goto Internet > Passes > Choose pass and checkout (must have balance first)
