Stop dictating what we should do.

Does those Indians want to be trained in the first place? I'm an Indian myself, has offered to train those unemployed spm holders, and find job locally or in Singapore, but all disappeared shortly. They prefer to be identified with 04,08,24,69 etc

If only they can work harder than bangala

You expect locals here to work as hard as foreign workers?

Those foreign workers work hard because they don't want to be sent back to their own country.

Why compare your own countrymen to a foreign labor?

That is demeaning.

Then I guess the government must limit foreign labor coming in Malaysia if they want to enforce it.

Not spend time at kopitiam drinking.....

I drive past a park at night, can see some regular guys drinking at the park bench. Next morning all the empty beer bottles on the ground..

Its a cultural issue where youths are encouraged to drink by their dads and relatives as a rite of passage into adulthood. Unfortunately 'some' become addicted.

I would encourage Dato Sri Ramanan to pursue and mitigate the underlying reasons for unemployment among all instead of just giving lip service to hire locals. At this moment, foreign workers have a significant advantage in employability.

local celery rm1700. foreign worker rm3000 basic who want to work?
*
local basic salary rm1700
foreign worker basic rm1700 plus OT = rm3000

both also have the privilege to earn extra from the OT but the local one does not want to, some more MC+EL each week

boss see who really has the heart to works and want to earn more money hence any opportunity you think the boss will choose who to grab?

There are many training programs, but are the ppl willing to endure the process and then continue to do a job? Many half way disapppear.

The issue is not limited to indians only, some ppl are poor but they just don't have the will to continue working for a goal, for them the immediate enjoyment is the most important. Today got job do a bit, not even a week, some friend ajak do another job then disappear already, as long as got quick money. Seen many of these perangai, can't do something stable, got a bit money spend like no need to think punya.

And the training programs also maybe not really have good job prospect, so they maybe feeling not confident with the course after attend for some time.

Sometimes we may think poor ppl will fight for better and more rajin, but in reality some just prefer to just get by temporarily, like today enjoy what you have tmw die tmw punya problem, you talk so much they also don't listen...
