PRC oversupply in many sectors is undeniable. in the past, prc economic model was depending on real estate price rise to spur consumers spending. unless real estate price could rise again, consumer spending will likely depressed.

Perversely it's somewhat true

China conquering the rare earth space has seen them freeze out European suppliers. Semi conductor related industries hoarding this material and export curbs have actually caused tungsten apt to spike.

It's also affecting the world and Chinese manufacturers alike. Tungsten apt is a crucial component in tungsten carbide related production. Machining related industries like mine rely on tungsten carbide tools to machine and have been faced with spiking tool costs

Some jigs and conveyor belts also use carbide roller and fixtures, so industries that uses these have seen their costs also gone up.

So yeah very ironic to see inflation and deflation happening at the same time.

Very painful lesson there about relying too much on China to produce things. Almost 10 years since Trump's 1st term and the West still hasn't diversified away from China's rare earth. Meanwhile, people in Malaysia still can't see why it's dangerous to let China flood our markets and destroy local businesses.

This part I also don't blame China for gaming rare earth. They need something to bring orange man to heel. Whether by design or just luck they have just that tool. Rare earth

But the fucked up part is when elephants fight the grass suffers kek

I think it's definitely by design.

I strongly agree. Harder for Malaysia to remain neutral in a multi-polar world. USA complain Malaysia favor China too much, China complain Malaysia favor USA too much. USA may be a big bully, but USA bombing small countries is not the same as USA going to war with China (WW3).

Make sense. GDP is western creation. Better use other metric or create their own.

Name it something like GDP with Chinese characteristics.

Cannot... Overcapacity and overproduction and deflation are bad.....

We shall have to enjoy inflation and scarce supplies. Then only economy is good.

Lol.
