I don't think even modern average black woman look like this. It looks like some slave bastard child that got kidnapped and sent into the future. They made conscious effort for the char to be uglier than average person

Ironically the economy is carrying the whole game even though Valve hardly give a shit unlike Dota

Balatro is truly a 1 man army (developer).

As for Clair Obscur winning this year, I'd say they fully deserve it.
It's a straight up screw you to Ubisoft.
I was also lucky enough to play the game near launch day with zero expectations and it was a very good experience.
Kinda brought back the magic of RPG games for me.

Of course, after it was hyped to the moon, I can imagine some to be disappointed after playing it.
