What is the average earning as a parcel delivery dispatcher for some courier companies?

My friend works in this industry but he can deliver for many courier co punya parcels and not just stick to one only.

My friend told me the parcels are not assigned by the system. You need to separate yourself. That why sometimes the same address from diff sellers, got more than 1 delivery guys!

Wonder how much can be earned?

the store itself is physically there to operate and do courier service already, it's just temporary using the store's space for a limited time (since if customer don't collect by a certain time, parcel is returned) to house the parcel till the customer come and self collect. pretty good money i would say

i usually buy a few stuff and wait for it come then i'll collect it at one go at self collection point

not sure why u would say it's low
think about it, you're dumping a lot of parcel at once at one place
u don't have to drive to 1 place drop 1 parcel thn drive to another place to drop another parcel

saves u a lot of petrol and time

Got.

But always remember there's three side of a coin.

One side is the head, that tell you susah woh, kesian woi, dreamy only woi, dun join woi, nak mampus woi kind of truth. Possibly this bloke is zero social and zero brainer, deswai all he got from the job is utter disappointment and disapproval.

One side is the tail, the lucky kid of the bunch, the smart and opportunist of the group, and the positive fellow that spread goodness all around him. For someone like this, Uber pun kayaraya, insta model buntut pun can get free piap from amoi and aweks, or delivery also can buy condo.

The most dangerous side is the middle penipu scammer side. This one if you see him pokai humgarchan but say job pay good and no need work too much, freedom alot, day day celery, work so much need get partner to thorlong, very SUS. Rather trust 50/50 on both two side also dun give 1% to this middle penipu scammer.

just to emphasize my prev reply on my own case.

I do luxury Airbnbs, all the sohais do is copy pasta my serbis and price, but quality berterabur or tatau, or just main tipu gwailou stupid what also tatau, to earn big bucks. Later when they kena diu lipot complain, terus choose the bestest option, tutup ads stop renting pindah keluar and destroying the proper company image of the others (Which making proper Co like mine and some others so hard to rent or buyover the flats for tourism business use)

Then there's some, that pick of the poor and lack of self control punya customer base. Stuff few more bunk bed mattress in an underpowered shower flat then sell as hostel for events like NYE, and treat people like chives waiting to kena potong, and disregarding all fukken rules, or act BHARATIAN ngaku tatau ngaku kesian ngaku bodoh ngaku lari escape no need pay who cares bye bye.

Deswai, disregarding what kind of people you see, unless its a true professional in all view, its better not to simply get into something.

Even me finding supplier for the champagne like Remy Mating, Dom Pulinon, and Prosecco also almost kena scampee bought repackaged cheap fake stuff from a seller. I check again and again on his fukken name, new company, just establish 2025, and his damn name with different spelling appears in the HMGOV site as 23 or 24 resigned director. Marcheebye.

Why wouldnt he? How much did he say?

I'm guessing here, should be around 1.50-2 per package, maybe slightly more as well.

A full time employee as courier would earn around 5-10k based on level of experience and route coverage.

Today the domestic market in MY is growing hence many logistic has decided to hire part-timer and 3rd party, therefore it is left to these delivery guys responsibility when to deliver.

MNC company generally the work is from 7am till 7pm.

Have ups and downs doing this parcel delivery job.

I watched videos on tiktok by some of the Shopee drivers.

One of the driver is based at Kajang hub.

Nowadays you see Shopee aggressively promote more and more Self Collection places, their commission is getting lesser since people can choose self pickup at places near your home.

I also like to choose to self collect at the shop near my home instead delivered to my house.

Because some ppl expect order hari ini semalam sampai

And if tak tampai hit track delivery / contact shopee delivery status every 30 min (seen this b4, one of my koliks)

And sometimes no deliver on time, shopee give free cash voucher (nth is free, they potong from somewhere - no prize guessing)

Add - some ppl use office address n tag as home, paranoia, takut orang tau home address (also seen this before) .. when delivery rider called -"oh i kat opis, datang lepas kerja boleh?"

I think what he’s saying the shop that keeps your parcel only makes 30cents per parcel is low. Nothing to do with delivery that you described.
If one day have 20 packages that is just rm6.

I tried to delivery some parcel using grab via motorcycle

Holy shit it cost nearly as much as taking grabcar

And the rider has 4 hours , so he can just grab other ppl parcel along the way and send to recipient along the way
So I think it's way better than driving passengers around, plus lower overhead since using motorcycle

the shop i think is the most don't mind at all because if they think it's low, all those shop would've closed up because of the rental
but no, i saw the MBE near by is getting more and more parcel until they have no space to put it anymore, now it's on the floor
i think if it's financially viable, i think they even wanna expand laugh.gif

and i can guarantee they're not getting 20 package per day, they're getting few hundreds to thousands easy

that's why some pickup point only store your parcel like 3 days only as oppose to a week

Not sure if they can get thousands. Let’s take 1K as an example. If they are getting 1K a day, I did some calculations assuming they operate 10 hours a day, that will make it 1.6 pick up a minute. Do you think they are averaging 1.6 people come and collect every minute? That amount of volume probably will create a big crowd during peak hours. Probably pack until outside. Have you seen a big crowd?

If they have 1K pickups a day they will make Rm300 a day. 6 days a week about 1800x4= 7200 a month. Hire a staff with minimum wage 7200-1700=5,500. Not bad. But I don’t know if one additional staff with minimum wage can handle or not. Probably need 2 staff during peak hours.

Not too bad IF
They have 1K pickups
Additional 1 staff with minimum wage can handle without adding any other resources like extra space, extra equipment
If it doesn’t affect the core business (eg crowd too big affecting the core business)

Hopefully there are real business owners can ahead some light

oh yeah, the place that i went constantly has a queue to pickup stuff

this business is so good right now, i saw even petrol station is joining in for some side business/side money laugh.gif
not sure your area but my area most of the petrol station is now a parcel pickup point and i use it before
but of course they just store it behind the counter or on the floor, not a specific place for it

i would say few hundreds are minimum everyday
and that's just parcel pickup, not yet include all the cardboard boxes they sell and people who use their service to post things yet
but to just help people store parcel and wait people pickup...RM0.30 each is very profitable with minimal effort

Ok loh. Temporary storing delivered packages. Not doing anything much. The buyer has to come & collect. My neighbour is doing that. Can see sometime people lining up in front of his house gate to collect their package.

I frequently use self-collect. 2 advantage - parcel well kept, not 'dump' under hot / rain. Won't get stolen or mis-delivered. And my neighbour just 3 houses away. thumbsup.gif Personally know him & his family.

but to just help people store parcel and wait people pickup...RM0.30 each is very profitable with minimal effort

Ahh I see. My area parcel hub gave up and pos Malaysia started doing it. Now have mbe and pos. So far never seen any queue at my place.

i just went 2 days ago to pickup my parcel

they have so much parcel that day, it's almost blocking their main door
the parcel hub at my place hasn't give up but yes i also don't use parcel hub due to their very short time of pickup(they only allow 3 days if not wrong)
that's why most people prefer MBE

they don't have to be available at those times

According from internet

PROS AND CONS

If you can arrange a SSM for you, you can join directly with DHL and receive original rates for job done.
* and security deposit of RM 3,000 will be collected from you by deduction in 6 months installments from your payout

If no SSM, you will be under vendor, and Vendor's payment scheme is different/lower than us.
* and no need to pay security deposit

The MBE near my place can survive rm4500 rental and hire 3 staffs.

I think the business model not solely on parcel collection and delivery.

We know they don’t just depend on parcel collection. We are discussing if it’s worth to do parcel collection or not on top of their existing business.
