Most EV car on the market give 8 years battery warranty
So perodua is just extra 1 year??
Regarding the resale value it’s a supply and demand thing. I wouldn’t want to buy that has battery installment hence most likely the RV will drop

Funny answer that it is like no question answer. I just give one answer enough. You continue lease, if have warranty. New lease if you need no more warranty.

QUOTE(acbc @ Dec 5 2025, 04:03 PM) Basically, if they need a battery, need to pay the lease. It is like a 9 year installment plan. Just pay 100k no need puter puter.

QUOTE(Iceman74 @ Dec 5 2025, 05:20 PM) the battery you don't own it even after 9 years. You just stop paying to use it. It P2 that own it. You cannot sell without P2 approval and carry to new owner Will there be charges to do that, u can guess it? Like you said, let say now you paying and buying at 10K per kWp with guarantee replacement in 9 years. Let say u need replacement at 9 years, will u willing to pay 10k per kWp again or current price 4k per kWp for the same item? If replace with new tech, then maybe it worth since new tech maybe worth 10k per kWp but there is no written P2 will do it. Will u dare to take the deal and find out 9 years later? To answer your first question, actually it’s neither one. People keep saying “after 9 years the technology should be even cheaper than RM4k per kWp,”. But the problem is we won’t get that — because the pricing is already dictated by the seller/manufacturer. So even if the real market price later is much lower, the replacement won’t follow the real market trend (not in Malaysia). When have you ever seen businesses in Malaysia lower their prices even when petrol prices fluctuate or in similar situations? As for your second question, I also wouldn’t dare to take the deal. We’re in Malaysia — I have yet to see any consumer actually get the so-called 70% performance guarantee or panel/battery replacement honoured here (for Solar PV). On paper it sounds good, but in reality it’s mostly a marketing gimmick to make people feel there’s protection, when the chance of it being fulfilled is extremely low or NIL.

Too risky & lop sided dead no.matter what. It's basically nothing more than those smartphone extended warranty where they say everything will.be.covered but when u try &.claim warranty. Will.give excuses like we no longer have the parts in stock to replace the damage one, etc.
Only.difference is perodua make it compulsory & on paper it sounds nice if your battery for whatever reason ko before 9 years are up.
Problem is do u trust perodua to honour the terms or come up with excuses & push the blame onto you therefore making u sign on a.new.contract?

Like gearbox and engine warranty, SC will diedie taichi until warranty over

Like Microsoft and Adobe and many others, P2 seems to be going the subscription route for constant moneyflow back to them even after purchasing.

So this is how Perodua killed themselves. The moment the Japanese stepped out of one product, they screwed it up!

Basically pattern is u have mortgage on car and also lease on battery
They want to ensure continuous stream of income and make b40 slave to them
What if battery no stock? Lel we know this will definitely happen 1001%
