It would be indeed interesting I agree
But I also can imagine how incumbents / other parties involved would react too:
- Hajiji (GRS) forms an agreement with BN; we don't touch your seat, you continue to support us in the government
- Sends the independent (Ayob, that almost wins the seat), to contest
- Bash Warisan / PN other parties that come in to contest as "Not respecting the dead"
- Independent wins the seat, but masses unable to directly bash GRS
- Independent supports GRS, gets an assistant minister or GLC role
Now, this though, is another interesting scenario, although highly unlikely:
- Bung vacates his seat as he passed away
- ADUN / reps that are loyal to him insist to fight
- The few (some say 6, some say 12) GRS members take this opportunity to vacate their seat and force another by-election since they do not want BN in
- 7 or 13 seats by-election again
