Hello guys. Imma driving a Honda HRV year 2015. When it is in drive mode, these three indicators (hand break, park and another one above it) keep on and flashing. Sent to Honda service centre and they said likely break hold wiring malfunctioned or some unknown dashboard indicator wiring broken. Has previously replaced the break hold switch in 2020. The problem was solved at that time but returned since 2 years back. The technician further mentioned that indicator malfunction issue is common in this HRV batch. This time the Honda service centre quoted RM805 change of: - sensor shift position (cvt) - sensor assembly - switch assembly, EPB and break hold Please advise whether the change will solve the this issue for once and for all. Thanks.

800 bucks is reasonable for 3 items.
On Exora, it is the same price for DMS plus CVT oil.

QUOTE(SevenTwentyOne @ Dec 4 2025, 10:43 AM) Please advise whether the change will solve the this issue for once and for all. Thanks. Sadly no, your ride already 10 years old. Even if you fix the 3, others might pop out. The only good thing Japanese cars they wont simply stop on the road and you can still drive to the road side or mechanic shop to get help/fix. Since wanrranty already off, i would get a few outside workshop advice before decide.
