I'm also using Brother printer, but not your model. When you mentioned the 800 pages of print count, did the printer tells you it's out of toner or the printout becomes faded?
My brother printer is using print count as indicator for toner life, and I understand there's still toner left even though printer says out of toner. There's a way to reset toner count so that you can continue to print until the cartridges become really empty.
