Anyone using TN1000 compatible (not original) toners and are they good and not facing issues like leaking?
And what aftermarket toner brands are decent? I know about Jadi but I don't think they have the TN1000 model.

Is the original very expensive? I checked Shopee for original TN1000 it is less than RM100 and can print 1k copies so it seems worth it for the price to even get the original.

I use shopee rm18. Works fine. The shopee listing stated the toner can print up to 2k pages. Actual page counts was only 800 like that. But for RM18 i can't complain.

A lot TN1000 in Shopee are fakes unless sold by brother official store

But they can be used just that less papers
At worst case the print out could be dirty

I am using 4 printers that use TN1000
My opinion , don’t buy fake if can , cause print lesser papers n printing could had lot of black spots

Been using Shopee OEM TN1000 for years. So far no issue except for 1 that couldn't be detected in the printer despite newly opened and inserted.

Meanwhile, printer bowed out after 9 years of almost daily printing, so got another exact same printer and continue to use OEM TN1000 toners.

I'm also using Brother printer, but not your model.

When you mentioned the 800 pages of print count, did the printer tells you it's out of toner or the printout becomes faded?

My brother printer is using print count as indicator for toner life, and I understand there's still toner left even though printer says out of toner. There's a way to reset toner count so that you can continue to print until the cartridges become really empty.

So far been using remanufactured toner for my brother laser printer and no problem. Only some are not as black. The good thing about the brother laser printer is the drum head is separate from the toner cartridge.

Original is 170 (not 100), Quantum clone is around 12. If only the original is worth using then I'd rather get an inkjet.
