At the carriage doors are grab handles. Use them to hold on to while u do squats, stretches etc.
When the train stops at a station without many passengers getting on or off (eg Tanjung Malim), jog in and out of different doors like a slalom course, but don't push it too far...if u r too slow, the doors may close and the train will move on without u on board
When the train goes past Tasik Bukit Merah, get to a window and enjoy the scenery. That nice view always reminds me of the Studio Ghibli anime 'Spirited Away' where the train wends its way across a flooded plain heading towards Swamp Bottom.

Nap between those loud and annoying (but vital) announcements
Enjoy the meal which u can buy from coffeeshops at Brickfields or in KL Sentral before yr trip begins. Yeah they say no outside food is allowed but no one really cares. Just be considerate and smart if u dabao a char siew/siew yok fan; find a discreet spot to consume it...KFC or McD is safer. The food sold on board is borderline unpalatable, at best.
But if u wanna avoid all that and are headed to the island, just book a plane ticket early and it can be cheaper than the RM90 train fare even if u factor in the RM15 bus ride to KLIA1/2 and the RM2.75 bus fare (on the 102) from Bayan Lepas to KOMTAR. My fastest flight time KUL-PEN was 30 minutes! (very strong tailwind that morning). The captain proudly announced we had arrived 25min ahead of schedule. Normally it's 50min to 1hr.
