Hi. In need of a new laptop.
Im taking lots of photos for our client. So will be transferring lots of photos from memory card to the laptop, then upload to google drive for my clients. Light usage of lightroom and photoshop, very minimal i can say. Mostly for excel and words.
Budget max up to myr 5k. No macbook because i dont know how to use mac, not used to the apps / system.
Is oled really important? Or should i get a laptop that has a graphic card? If possible, i prefer a laptop below 1.6kg and 14 inch. Higher ram (16/24/32gb) and higher ssd storage (512/1tb) is better.
Thanks
And no acer. Has bad experience w 2 acer laptop before.

But i really dont know how to use mac, really hard for me to move to mac system. So better stick w windows

if no gaming, macs are actually the best value. you get a great screen + great battery life + light weight compared to windows based laptops
just use Microsoft Office / Photoshop on mac and there's really not much difference. only thing is no taskbar like Windows but apart from that day to day won't be difficult to adopt.

I will suggest Mac even though I've been using Win Laptop for the past 5 years. Simply because managing photos via Apple Photo is way easier if you're thinking using 3rd party photo management software.
In term of learning curve, believe me, learning to use Mac is so easy. Running Lr & Ps in there also smooth. But if you still insist on using Win laptop, just get any with huge storage and better display. I don't think you need that much graphics capability just for photo storage and minor Lr & Ps.

No editing etc haha. So we just take photos and give to the client. Sooc photo must be nice. Thatβs all. So thatβs why i dont really use lightroom / photoshop

So thatβs why i dont really use lightroom / photoshop Lenovo Thinkpad or Dell will do the job. Get something with better battery life so that you don't have to carry a charger with you all the time. Best would be mac air. Light and battery efficient.

Sadly, MacBooks are the most bang for your buck. Probably can try new Microsoft Surface with Snapdragon processor.

I am torn between Asus Tuf vs HP Victus ... Your budget 5k can get one with graphics card.

if you have the chance to demo at the shop, better demo it. i believe screen color accuracy will be important for you too. i've bought a lenovo legion where the red pallet is slightly off towards the darker maroon side. since its just for gaming i just let it be.

I've used to avoid Mac also because not used to the shortcuts and ecosystem. However recent batch of windows based laptop has been pissing me off, with the constant slowdown, bloatware and frequent windows update.
I switch to M4 Macbook Air and never looked back.
