The good things
The office is at a convenient location. The colleagues are great and helpful.
The challenges
The typical Chinese company where the superiors are not open towards constructive criticism, they wouldn't take "no" for an answer. Constant communication breakdowns due to language barriers (Mandarin was the main and almost only language spoken). Superiors are constantly micromanaging even with minor tasks. You are expected to be on standby for work all times, including weekends and public holidays (this may differ depending on your superior). Lack of respect towards personal time where you will be receiving WhatsApp messages even during wee hours.
