Honestly they should just sell the land and give us 10% dividend instead of repairing it.

while repairing burned 1 more time.
double kill.

The old Employees Provident Fund (EPF/KWSP) building in Petaling Jaya has caught fire two times.
The two incidents occurred five years apart:
February 2018: The first major fire occurred during maintenance work. An investigation concluded that sparks from a gas flame gun ignited unapproved, highly flammable polyethylene cladding panels on the building's exterior. Approximately 40% of the building was damaged, but no casualties were reported.
May 2023: A second fire broke out in the unoccupied building while it was undergoing renovation to be converted into a senior living facility. This fire affected the fourth and fifth floors, and again, no casualties were reported. The cause of the second fire remains under investigation.

On once side, we have to make building energy efficient. Meaning install cladding to better insulate the building from heat or cold weather.

On the other side, those materials, that are expected to be long lasting can also be flammable.

BTW, I commonly see landed properties, that also install Wooden/Bamboo slats to reduce the scorching heat from the sunshine.
