Takaichi is probably the second world leader who explicitly state that they will go against China should a war break out, other than Biden. Past Japan PMs all maintain silence on this. From China POV, cat is out of the bag already. Even if Takachi change stance or she is replaced by friendlier PM, China will always reserve a response against Japan should hostilities with Taiwan happen.
To understand her motive we need to first understand what is her political stance among her supporters. So far she has won hearts by leaning towards nationalism so of course she will continue to do so
