I been using Pineng for the last 10years or so, worked well, but recently during my road trips, its not able to keep up with usage on my newer phone, when taking pictures and video recording.
Was sourcing around and also wanted to get a battery that can charge laptop, initially wanted to go with Xioami, i thik the price was 300, but found Pineng with better pricing and has a handy build in cable. Decided to stick with pineng https://shopee.com.my/Pineng-PN-837PD-(2000...d9-32550aa8cfb6 |

QUOTE(gcwc @ Nov 24 2025, 03:51 PM) if planning to travel to China, better use powerbank that has CCC or 3C certifcation... or they will just ask you to throw away or you cannot board the plane. Recent relatives experience, all 4 of them had to throw away all their powerbank, non had the CCC and some even bought new powerbanks for the trip. 1. Do China airport security actually check for CCC on power banks?![]() Generally no. What they actually check is: Capacity label (must be printed clearly) β€ 100 Wh (your 10,000 mAh β 37 Wh β safe) Built-in battery type (lithium-ion/polymer) No signs of damage/swelling CCC is rarely enforced at airports for tourist-carried power banks. Itβs more relevant for products sold in China, not for foreign travelers bringing personal electronics. 2. Will they confiscate a non-CCC power bank? Almost never, as long as: Capacity is β€ 100 Wh It has a visible label It looks like a reputable brand (Anker is well-recognized in China) Itβs for personal use Security staff care far more about fake/no-name brands and swollen batteries. 4. When CCC actually matters Mainly for: Selling electronics in China Importing bulk units Logistics / customs shipments Not for tourists carrying 1β2 personal devices. China Airport Power Bank Rules 1. Allowed to bring in carry-on (not checked-in): β€ 100 Wh β Always allowed without approval Most 10,000 mAh (β 37 Wh) and 20,000 mAh (β 74 Wh) are in this category. 2. 100β160 Wh Allowed only with airline approval (usually corporate or special cases) Not recommended for normal travelers. 3. > 160 Wh Completely prohibited on all flights (China and international). |

QUOTE(GamersFamilia @ Nov 27 2025, 09:50 AM) Actually most of well known brand already good enough, buy from their official store for genuine powerbank ππ Err, not so.I also bought from official stores, but all the powerbanks below RM60/10k mAH sucks so bad that I immediately returned them. Cos once received, I will put them to a series of tests, and most of them fail. One of the brands that sucked for me sent me domestic version from China, cos I thought I gotten a good deal with their big "discount". Turns out, they were just trying to dispose of their even lower quality domestic stock. So they brought their China domestic stock here to dump them on gullible Malaysians who thought they received a good deal. How did I know it was their local stock that is even more low quality? From the Chinese wording on the unit that is not present on their export version. Is the same situation like Perodua and Proton. They have domestic lower quality stock vs export version which is slightly higher quality! This post has been edited by Hobbez: Today, 04:41 PM |
