Used to use Xiaomi, the last one I bought was Anker because I'm more paranoid. I see people open up the Anker ones for review got the protection circuits and proper BMS etc so I trust.

But actually my old Xiaomi's never failed on me also, after many years just cannot hold charge any more never expand or have anything scary happen.

Ugreen I got buy their GaN chargers as I've seen reviews of those and they are well built, so I think I'd trust their powerbanks also.

Considering how many of the cheap ones tend to explode and shit, I would NEVER cheap out of chargers and powerbanks for my main devices.

I do use some cheap chargers but those are for low power things like my cats toys, etc.

Been using Baeus, but Pineng is my new favourite. Convenient, light, fast charge.

About to fly to China, do I need to buy a CCC power bank?
I reckon the CCC is only applied to domestic flight.
Anyone experience going to China lately?

Shanghai - KL = international flight

The officer took my power bank from the tray and turned it upside down to check for CCC.

Either checking for CCC compliance, check power bank is male or female or they think my power bank very cute.

Depends on the officer on duty strict or lax I guess.

It's a cuktech CP13 10000mah.

They not familiar with Cuktech yet but getting more and more popular despite the company name.

Cuktech ftw

if planning to travel to China, better use powerbank that has CCC or 3C certifcation... or they will just ask you to throw away or you cannot board the plane. Recent relatives experience, all 4 of them had to throw away all their powerbank, non had the CCC and some even bought new powerbanks for the trip.

this is only for domestic China flights

International flights are exempted.

I fly once/twice to China monthly carrying a powerbank without the CCC with no problem at all

Thats why i ask they checking for CCC or CE as there are conflicting claims.

Regardless CCC or CE requirement, confirm they will check the powerbanks are below 100watt or not.

among those brands, remax, Pineng ,....etc

which one is better to use ?

my Rxmxx bought fr Shopeemall quite useless.
how much power is needed ?

Those premium brand like Anker, its too pricey for me.

You get what you pay for.

I just got a new Anker 26500mah 165W last 10.10 sale. Got it because no choice, travelling to china need a CCC powerbank.

Previously been using a few 45W 20kmah Xiaomi ones (black colour), that were very reliable and lasted for many years (still have them and they are ALL still working, some over 5 years old). They are actually not bad for the price now, can find for around 80, less than half what I paid for them when they first introduced.

Those more expensive high capacity, high discharge powerbanks quite likely have better cells, likely 21700 instead of the cheaper 18650 which is why they are expensive and come with extra stuff you dont really need like "smart" digital display, built in cable, etc.

If these high end ones are a bit too pricey, just stick to more established brands' lower range offerings. Anker, Ugreen, Xiaomi have been good to me (maybe cuktech also). Those mega wattage ones only make sense if you intend to power your laptop and phone at the same time. If its just your phone, even my 5 year old Xiaomi 45W is more than enough (it will also power my laptop at 45W, but only 1 device), at 1/4 the price of my Anker

As for max output ratings, take it with a grain of salt. The premium ones will let you know exactly which port and how many devices can share the max output. My Anker for example says 165W max, but single line output is only 130W. Other cheaper powerbank will only list total output and sometimes single line output will max out at a rather low 20-30W only.

And as for the max capacity, you are usually going to get like 70-80% of the advertised capacity only. Better brands will list actual usable capacity. My Xiaomi 20K for example, lists usable capacity at around 13k mah only.

At least tell people your usage and device... Later people recommend 8w power bank to you while you use a power hungry device that needs least 20w that barely even able to charge.
