Absorber Mounting x1 pair
Absorber Bearing x1 pair
Absorber Front x1 pair
Lower Arm x1 pair x 2 units (original from SC x1 + Sankei 555 x1)
Stabilizer bar bush x1 pair

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Symptom: pass hump around 20-40km/h got knocking "krak krak" sound , usually happens during heavy rain or after heavy rain when undercarriage is wet. This is key point

17/9 - Pusing steering got sound - https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=5539696&hl=

22/9 - masuk sc round 1 - https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=5540290&hl=

25/9 - masuk sc round 2 - https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=5540762&hl=

27/9
- masuk outside workshop to troubleshoot + drop off SC (3rd round SC) - https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=5540904&hl=

2/10 - masuk sc round 4th time - https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=5541546&hl=

So far managed to claim from SC @ 3rd year 20k km

Stabilizer bar bush
Lower arm

18/11

Then 1 month later still got knocking sound

So I changed stabilizer link (satay pin)

But still same

So halfway through after pass a hump today, I open bonnet. Lo and behold

Still same issue

Now I'm going to carsome to sell the car

24/11/2025 9PM

carsome giving only max RM54k, considering to sell directly online or continue this blackhole

25/11/2025 11AM

CONTINUE ON...buy 555 lower arm to replace the Toyota lower arm (although they gave new lower arm)

25/11/2025 5PM

Sudah pasang , but no rain . Will report again when rain + pass bump

27/11/2025 2PM

purposely go over puddle of water then pass a bump - still same sound. Will try sell the car now.

27/11/2025 4PM

My 2019 vios also got steering rack sound since day 1. SC near my place says just grease, tighten this and that but nothing improved, almost 1 year ding dong this issue. I find another SC the tech immediately know this is steering rack issue and changed within 1week. 5years already no issue since then.

Among other things thats prettty common for this gen:
Leaking water pump prematurely.
Absorber krekk noise going thru bumps when raining or wet.
Full turn at slow speed will make rubbing noises.
Drl lightbar type turn yellowish (mine is the pre facelift one so don't have this issue)

2 things here

1. you're not supposed to go through speed bumps at 30-40KM/H
2. parts today isn't as good as last time anymore

i also recently change my rear absorber bushing because got metal clanking sound...turns out it's the rear mounting bushing since there is no visible damage at all(absorber still works as intended)

rubber will disintegrate over time due to many factors

the rubber is between the chassis and the absorber, absorbing much of the impact and load
the material and quality of the rubber will determine how long it last

the absorber is bolted to the rubber.
i dont understand how they fix the rubber to the chassis, i didn't see bolts.
