Hopefully Intel and AMD can come up with their CPU pairing with HBM
Just need some beefy cooler

Not anytime soon though. This is one of the reason why I expect 1-2 years time.

SK hynix is apparently committing over $500 billion to build four new memory fabs, with the first to be finished by 2027

6-8 months prediction? hmm.gif and even then he says that doesn't mean prices will be ok, just that the supply will be ok sweat.gif

Predictions & opinions are free to give and no penalty if its wrong so some predict high, some predict low. Whats the logic on the shortterm prediction, was it just to make people feel ease a bit or else nobody will buy and they suffer? Nuances to that claim, supply will be ok but for whom? We know AI demand is outstripping current capacity so perhaps what he means is with the effort to reorientate consumer capacity to AI datacentric that demand will soon be met but for consumers it will still take longer to normalise.

Brands like Micron didnt take a huge decision to pull out of consumer market for just 1-2 years of AI profits, they would have seen demand will continue for many years to come and it was worth sacrificing the Crucial branding on the AI altar.

Just wait if you can, I was thinking going upgrade to 6060TI with same perf as 4090. Manatau Nvidia nerf their GPU line and now focusing all on AI and keeping GPU prices still high. AMD also just as bad. Intel ARC is currently in LBT (LimBo Time).

Surprisingly my 3060TI been holding up well & still plays over 100 FPS @1080P.
