Any of u guys using this tyre , Hankook Ventus Prime 4? Planning to change the stock tyre Giti Comfort 520 (215/55r18).
Considering Toyo CR1 SUV or Hankook Ventus Prime 4 (my budget around RM450/ tyre)
My friend who uses CRV said Toyo CR1(stock tyre) is noisy.
So, need feedback for the Hankook Ventus Prime 4

If you want silent tires, you should opt for tires like Michelin, Goodyear or at least Yokohama. Hankook VP4 is not famous for silent.

Look at the recent test, in term of noise is the loudest during test.

If budget around 450/pcs, can look for Yokohama BluEarth XT AE61

Malaysia official Yokohama website, can search nearest dealer inside

In term noise test, no.1 in the chart

I think ventus prime 4 is a great bang for buck.
Whole family all using .
195/55r15 from xm2
205/50r16 from toyo 050
215/55r16 from conti mc5
215/60r17 from giti comfort
235/55r18 from ventus hankook
235/60r18 from toyo

All very silent and both wet and dry very good
And the value, the price compared to other brands and the performance u get is second to none .

What about Goodyear Assurance Maxguard SUV?

I'm using it right now on 235/50R18.

Much much much better than my previous Hankook Ventus Prime 3

CR1 is entry level tyre while VP4 is touring segment. I had CR1 on my 2nd car as original tyre, it is silent but the wet performance is weak. I had VP3 on my previous car, the dry grip quite good and wet grip not bad, weak point of VP3 is not silent. But the tyre roar of VP3 is much lower than the junk MC5 as I replaced with.

oh my... same...

I had CSC5 on my car for 10 years and that thing is noisy (but good performance) and super uncomfortable (hard sidewall). Using VP3 now and really improved on both aspect. Maybe slightly less performance but not a major concern for me.
