I don't know why everyone is so crazy to join investment banks. Long hours, you will have to work most Saturday and Sunday and shitty bosses. Only thing going for you is the money.

You can get in with no strings inside as a graduate with good grades from a good uni.

always interested in the banking sector and heard that jp and goldman are recruiting IT people (technologists) in asia.
wonder if there are any vacancy for IT people in msia office...

I have a friend in JPMorgan, and yes it is true that u need connections. I never asked him how he got in but i can assure u he is good. Oh ya btw he's a corporate lawyer

Not true. If your cv stands out you have a chance. I applied for BNP Paribas for internship and they replied to me. I dont know anyone in there.

Try go to more networking events, you will most likely find them in the most trendy places.

Or you can start adding them via linkedin.

If you don't have their background, you have to take even more initiative.

In Malaysia? Yeah, need some good cables if you're a fresh grad or lateral later in your career. In SG, maybe can because they have an analyst program.
