This is what happen to me.
After using Deluge for sometime and not getting good results, I switch back to BitComet and download a bunch of stuff.
My phone bill say I downloaded 140GB ++ of data last month, I was a bit surprise but have no problem with it and pay my bill accordingly.

Last week, my connection suddenly gets cut off for a hour with the DSL light blinking.
When the connection returns, I found BC and emule display my port is blocked. After spending a few day doing port forwarding and whatsnot, the result is still the same, every port I try to open will return as blocked.
What is more interesting is that BC report that my IP is being block from full access.
Reconnecting to change IP will also have the same result.

I even have problem remote desktop to my pc from work, which never happens unless the line is down.

Did I just win the jackpot and get targeted and torrent blocked by TMNet?
Have anyone encounter this?
btw, I am located in Setapak, KL.

Problem is I dont have a proper case to call them up and waste my time.
I try downloading via HTTP last night, the download speed simple fly! Im getting average over 100kbps on my HTTP downloads. My web browsing and video streaming seems to be better too.

Sometimes TMNet is retarded when they disconnect your DSL link and reconnects you at slower speed. Pull off the phone line from your DSL for 5 secs and reconnect back to get back the maximum speed for your connection. That's what I do.

No good, disconnecting and reconnecting the phone line didn't solve the problem. I think those guys at TMNet have nerf my connection based on my Streamyx login.

If you weren't using VPN earlier then consider yourself blessed earlier. AFAIK, bittorrent is throttled without VPN or deluge (if you are lucky).

One suggestion, moved out from Malaysia.
Go japan or china to enjoy high speed p2p even they throttled you.

With 8mbps on taiwan, it's throttle by isp.
But their torrent can reach 100-200K even throttled..........

Here when throttle>means > totally blocked.................
You will get <30K........................=.=

scream!!!!!!!

My line returns to normal after login to a different username !!!!

What is the chance of canceling my connection and re-apply for a new username with the same phone line?
Would they be smart enough to notice and block the new username too?

Well they r using injecting a RST packet into your stream (open connection u just made) to both u n the other guy telling that closes the connection. In otherwords, streamiesex is adding the command to ur packets that you closed ur connection to the peer n peer has also closed his connection.

They dont block ports, that's takes too much effect... this way is easier... i guess u have exceeded ur quota for the month n the balance is carried over maybe to the next month....

Who know's what funny crap they r up to...
