So far I have used Daikin, Acson, and Panasonic

Both Daikin and Acson win hands down compared to Panasonic in terms of cooling down.

But never tried Haier before. Considering Haier because it's cheaper by around RM600 compared to Acson. Anyone experienced having bought Haier before?

My neighbour has one 1.5hp non inverter. Very cold except outdoor unit a bit noisy. Inverter may be quieter

Not sure of it's my model or not but Haier takes some time to kick on the compressor. Around 1 to 2 minutes. What is good is that the entire blower assembly drops down for easy cleaning.

Same situation here, but not a big deal to me. I just turn on the power socket for few minutes, then only turn on the aircond. The compressor will start faster.
It's slightly over 2 years and still working good.

Not sure gonna help or not:

I use Acson for my condo, rented. Got it cheaper because LBS deal. Tenant never complain. My office use Daikin since 2020, never ada problem.

Haier aircond never try, but their rice cooker is good.

You may be surprised. Based on all calculations, mine shouldn't be sufficient but surprisingly good enough. May be because big room has shade on all sides?

Parking to know too. But i thought main priority of air cond is reliability and electricity consumption instead of how fast it can become cold?

I have had bad experience with haier products including their aircond so will not consider them at all. Recently bought 2.5hp Aux 5 star inverter, very satisfied with it's performance but cannot comment on longevity. It's very cheap too for a 2.5hp 5 star inverter, below rm2k.

Yes they are the same and not the same. Daikin buy up all of them. Different brand, same parent but not sure same or different components.

Bought few Haier inverter A/C. Almost 3 years. So far so good. Fast cooling. Using one with WIFI features, so convenient. Cheaper by a lot.

Need to check and clean the blower fan if there's accumulated dust.

I think it depends on luck. Recently bought Acson non inverter airconds. 3 units of 1 HP, 1 unit of 2 HP were installed a month ago. Brand new. Switched on during weekends at the moment. That 2HP showed blinking orange light after one week installation. Technician came and fixed on the following weekend, refilled the refrigerant gas. Ok the same problem reoccurred yesterday. Holy shxt. I think some parts are faulty and caused the leak. Hope that the issue will be fixed promptly by the seller. Will follow up again with seller. No reply yet.

My neighbor's cheaper 1.5HP inverter Midea works better. Not brand issue I think.

it's all about heat balance. Like is the window facing the sun at it's strongest in daytime, or 2 storey house where second floor is hotter because of the hot attic from sun rays (and hotter air rises up), is one of the major wall in the room are being torched by the sun rays, how good insulation is etc

I think York nowadays no longer under Daikin. They selling rebranded China air cond instead.
