it's all about heat balance. Like is the window facing the sun at it's strongest in daytime, or 2 storey house where second floor is hotter because of the hot attic from sun rays (and hotter air rises up), is one of the major wall in the room are being torched by the sun rays, how good insulation is etc

That is what I meant. You never know under you installed and try out.

But for Invertor, I always get up size the power.

using haier vnr18 2hp 1hp , dah 7 tahun, still bagus,
any new cheap aircond, at least get the 5* and proper installation, if shop offer free 8ft copper, install all 8ft and make sure do the damn vacuum thing. some installer skip this eventho in the manual has specifically mention step for vacumming

Yupp size up for inverter, for non inverter too big sized isn't good because it will keep on cycling on and off. If needed the extra cooling for non-inverter can pasang dua biji instead, only use one when not much cooling power needed.

So far I have used Daikin, Acson, and Panasonic

Both Daikin and Acson win hands down compared to Panasonic in terms of cooling down.

But never tried Haier before. Considering Haier because it's cheaper by around RM600 compared to Acson. Anyone experienced having bought Haier before?

which one cooler nod.gif
you need to check BTU and power efficiency figures.. specs of the AC.

Agreed, nowdays depending on luck, some can last long and some for certain period of time

Yes. I know of a famous brand having major problem from Day 1 and something big has to be replaced.

2HP AC normally have a BTU of 18000 BTU /hr. mean in terms of cooling most AC are about the same .

Acson offer budget AC /cheaper cos of lower spec parts. in terms of performance.
and poorer cooling/power efficiency mean s MORE power is needed for that same cooling.

the AC specs is important to evaluate . and real live situation also not same .

example
An AC temperature sensor is a thermistor that measures the temperature of the air or refrigerant to control the AC's operation, ensuring comfort and efficiency.

and you can buy high spec to low spec temp sensor. possible from 5 RM to 30 RM .
they work but the temp accuracy is not there. your choice .

I would suggest you to opt for TCL as well.

Had one TCL inverter and one Panasonic inverter, but the Panasonic is not cooling at all. All I can hope how is the Panasonic is lasting as it cost double the TCL.

Most ktards hate CCP junks as they call it, but I don't think you would go very long with those major brands.

Daikin acson and york basically under one company right

York brand no longer under Daikin. It's now under Johnson Controls and the air con from China. I have one unit bought in early 2016 when it was already under JC and so far no problem until today. Use daily in study room
