Statement by Major General Pavel Muraveyko, Chief of the General Staff and First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Belarus:

"During the nighttime exchange of strikes by unmanned aerial vehicles between the Russian Federation and Ukraine, the air defense forces and assets of the Republic of Belarus on duty continuously tracked unmanned aerial vehicles that had lost their course as a result of the impact of the parties' electronic warfare assets.

Some of the stray drones were destroyed by our country's air defense forces over the territory of the republic.

Through existing channels of communication, between 11:00 p.m. on September 9 and 4:00 a.m. on September 10, our forces and equipment on duty exchanged information on the air and radar situation with the forces and equipment on duty in Poland and the Republic of Lithuania. In doing so, they notified them of the approach of unknown aircraft to the territory of their countries.
