My friend has the exact problem.
I told her to recycle to Apple. But she could just easily give to someone, I'm sure someone will be happy to adopt it.

Though I have the Pro 2 but this Pro 3 is kinda nice with the live translation, better battery life and noise cancellation.

Still thinking if I should upgrade mine, maybe later as I’m using my Ray-Ban Meta most of the time now for music etc.

so if you are buying app3 just for this function you might need to rethink

mostly positive and was regarded as one of the most worthy to buy airpods pro product after 3 years of waiting for refresh.

sound quality improved especially vocals.
transparent mode is now even better than before.
ANC is better but certainly not as what apple advertised as 2x ANC than previous gen.
now the ear buds fits even more than previous gen but similar to any in-ear earbuds, after 2 hours or more of listening to music, ears will still feel uncomfortable. think for those who are more sensitive to this, airpods 4 ANC may still be a more excellent choice.

I don't think so. It is translation via live conversation not using app.

Quick verdict.
The ANC is unreal for an iem. Very noticeably better than APP2. I couldn’t hear my vacuum while I was vacuuming.

Audio wise.
A significant amount of bass compared to APP2. But it’s not the bloaty kind that LTT mentions. I do enjoy this change in the lower frequency. 

Having said that, vocals doesn’t sound as crisp. It sounds more distant?

For those who listen to a lot of pop or rock, this would actually be a fun iem to listen with.

Just tried both Pro 2 and Pro 3 side by side

Things better in Pro 3
- bass is stronger
- soundstage is wider
- ANC quite a bit better
- the seal is also better

Things better in Pro 2
- vocals sounds slightly clearer
- the case is denser and feels more solid. The new one feels a bit cheap 😅

coming from Airpods Pro 1, this Pro 3 improvement is just like between sky and ground.

Haha for sure. But from 2 to 3, probably not so much. Just more prominent ‘V Curve’, meaning enhanced bass and highs, but sacrificing the mid range (vocal clarity) 😌

I need vocal clarity and I listen to pop too most of the time.
I guess I will stick to my Pro 2. Money saved again.

Did you try wearing for long periods, and does it hurt your ears? I read on Reddit some user had slight bleeding from the ear because the new Heart Rate sensor area edges can cause some abrasion to the skin in the ear.

First impression immediately disappointed with the subdued vocals. Bass seems overloaded now, in a not so good way. May need to do further tweaking in the equalizer. But a bit sad as my AirPods Pro 2 sounded ‘perfect’ out of the box when I first bought it 2 years+ ago. 😶‍🌫️

But I have to say the ANC is much better, with the foam seals and also the sound feels ‘larger’ now, closer to how larger headphones are on you instead of earbuds. ☺️
