worse. you blind ah? yes.
Singapore holds one of the highest rates of myopia in the world. 20% of children in Singapore are myopic by 7 years old. Over 80% of adult Singaporeans are myopic. People who are highly myopic are at a greater risk of developing early cataract, glaucoma, macular degeneration and retinal detachment later in life. https://www.snec.com.sg/our-specialties/cli...centre/about-us This post has been edited by Phoenix_KL: Sep 9 2025, 09:22 AM |

The time spent outdoors and engagement in near-work activities stand out as the most influential, independent, determinants of myopia, with contrasting effects—the former protective, the latter exacerbating the condition. However, our understanding of the intricate relationship between various light attributes, visual environments, and myopia remains limited—further studies need to be undertaken. my friend's nephew age 13 already eye power 1000 https://jphysiolanthropol.biomedcentral.com...101-024-00354-7 |

Myopia is true.. both my kids on atropine eye drops since young and wearing glasses. Since sec 1, they already being provided with iPad and laptop by school as part of MOE learning syllabus.
As for teeth, both my kids have undergone braces. Like it or not, if can afford, give them the chance have perfect teeth. |
