Suria KLCC explains scuffle over Palestine flag with Tian Chua

PETALING JAYA: Suria KLCC has defended its security team after a viral video showed a scuffle with a “visitor” carrying a flag pole into the mall.
In a statement today, the management said the “visitor’ was asked not to bring a “long wooden stick” into the premises, in line with longstanding safety procedures.

We would like to clarify that this is a standard security measure that applies to all visitors, and we wish to reassure the public that our actions were not based on any political stance,” it said.

The safety and security of our community remain our highest priority. We appreciate the public understanding as we work to maintain a secure and orderly environment for all.”

While the management did not name the visitor, viral footage posted by Malaysian Daily Protest for Palestine on Sept 6 showed former Batu MP Tian Chua struggling with security officers in the mall.

A voice could be heard saying that he had to be removed as he was carrying a “long stick”, referring to a flag pole.

A woman filming the incident shouted that the guards were mistreating him for holding the Palestinian flag.

The group behind the post accused the mall of roughing up pro-Palestinian activists who had attended the “Trump Don’t Come” rally, which called for the cancellation of US president Donald Trump’s visit to Malaysia.

Tian Chua slowpoke, what he is trying to do is already been done by Fridaus Wong & Ridhuan Tee. Furthermore he ain't Muslim.
