Someone found a handbag in a sitting area within the compound, then it got sent to security in case anyone wanted to claim it.

About 6 hours later, one of the staff claimed that she had misplaced her bag, so we brought her to security. Double checked everything, then she claimed that there was RM2000+ missing from the bag, plus her IC and stuff. None of us knew about this, and we informed her if that was the case, then we will need her to issue a police report regarding the missing cash and IC.

The staff was clearly terrified, and she told us that her manager needs to know this, so we explained the whole thing to him as well. Manager just told her curtly that she was not to take out the cash from the till, and told her to compensate the lost amount by today, to which she said that she have to ask her aunt, so on so on. Manager also told her that she will be reported to her bosses if she can't fork out the money.

An hour later, security came back, telling me that it was her who stole the money (!!!) based on the CCTV recording. She had discreetly took the money from her pouch and just left her handbag there, assuming that her spot can't be seen by CCTV. Aiseh.

Want to give her round of applause for acting. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

I mean, if you wanted to bail with the RM2k and leave your job, that's up to you. Why need to act, put handbag as if you misplaced it and make story? Legit wasting my time.

She so clever, saying her IC not there etc, but she thought we cannot check CCTV without permission. If internally within security confirm can check.
Funny lah. This place already got lots of CCTV that you would never expect until you actually see the footage.

Baca betul2. She herself took the money, then claim IC missing. IC missing, you still need to file police report. But you also need to report the missing cash because that is your story. Then if polis investigate, kena kantoi lah if you see her stealing money in the CCTV footage. Luckily this is just within security only.

She appeared visibly shaken and insisted that her manager needed to be informed. When we explained the situation to her manager, he sternly reminded her that she was not supposed to take cash from the till. He told her she would have to repay the missing amount by the end of the day. She replied that she would need to ask her aunt for help. The manager also warned her that if she failed to return the money, the matter would be escalated to upper management.

asked chatgpt to rephrase this part as it is quite confusing. not sure what is "till".

I expect her to be MIA indefinitely. Will keep a lookout over the next few days and see if she's around or not.
