But maybe just wrong term used for language that maybe should be Mandarin instead of Chinese.

If the employer is racist and only wants type-c, what's stopping him from posting a job ad with no "chinese language" requirement, and just throw all non type-c resumes into the tong sampah, safe in the office without anyone outside knowing? Why need to post "chinese language" requirement for ppl like you to attempt for gold medal in victim olympics? Unless, maybe, just maybe, the job really needs to converse/correspond in chinese?

Mandarin is a prerequisite, not mean must hire. There are other candidates with same criteria as well, must see who are your competitors.

It is just a criteria so that u won't waste time on it, if i see language option like "german/japan/spanish" i also won't bother to waste time to send resume, just move on jer lah.

All this are meant to filter out incompatible potential staff, takkan wait until face to face interview and only find out u cannot speak, ini macam u are wasting everybody time.
