My condo has been plague by Pigeons. they all go like to go to my split unit air cond there to shit and lay eggs. I complained to municipal council and MO: they all gave me this ridiculous reply, Pigeons are protective species. Duh... they crap and spread disease like bird flu, and nothing is done about this??? I am puzzled. The spray water and clean area at split unit air cond, they still come back. Some people resort to even put up mosquito netting to prevent them from coming sometimes I drive nearby, I see idiots feeding these pigeons, feel like giving them a piece of mind. real nuisance. What to do? |

QUOTE(killdavid @ Sep 1 2025, 11:44 AM) You need to take very proactive measures. I have aircond stack one over the other, and the pigeons love to go in between. The aircond area is located at 26th floor. My wife placed spikes on top of the ac units, then hang a few reflective strips to create movement and anxiety, then to top it off, an alarm sensor. Now there is near to no pigeons because they have a good memory and avoid my house.. The neighbors still get them though Difficult for me to place spikes. |

QUOTE(WongTheThief @ Sep 1 2025, 01:14 PM) Do you live in PJ? Because if you see people feeding pigeons, you can actually take a picture + video of the culprit and send it to MBPJ, they will find that same person and fine them RM250. DBKL take action or not? Pigeons ain't no protective species yo, should whack that MB in question in their head, because pigeons DO cause illness and also dirty up the environment Stupid MO say its protected what so protected about this stupid bird Every morning I hear it "Pooh Puh, Pooh Puh, Pooh Puh, Pooh Puh" having sex in between my air cond then the stupid birds lay eggs then all the kids macam big family fly in and out. |

QUOTE(ycs @ Sep 1 2025, 10:58 PM) the thing is...if they die, they die at my air cond area, and its 20 over storey high, I don't want to take risk to clean it up. and when a stupid pigeon die, it becomes a cemetary, all the relatives come every day to pay homage n shit on its corpse |

QUOTE(Orgpro88 @ Sep 1 2025, 08:35 PM) Haha bro I just won a battle againts the pigeon that made the drain pipe above my AC split unit their home, before they came it was spotless, after 2 weeks it got so dirty with poo and made me so pissed. Its above the condo void area. I use the swimming pool water shot gun to shoot themat first I tried to lastik them with paper bullets, manage to hit one but missed alot. I found the most effective method accidentally using nerf gun and soapy water. So every night when they start chilling at that area, I attacked the pigeon with my kids nerf gun. I did these for two nights, they haven't come back for months now hahaha Basically you should drive them away when there are chilling in the area, I think they somehow remember it and never comes back. some more put soapy water, they still come back shot so many times, until my gun rosak |

QUOTE(N9484640 @ Sep 2 2025, 09:33 AM) try this - https://shopee.com.my/search?keyword=party%20pop%20confetti I am planning to put up nettingthese are harmless, makes a big bang and shoots out confetti. Just press the button on the stick. the regular pigeons will learn not to come but new pigeons will come again....its not a permanent solution I have tried many ways - fake owl, spikes, laser, nothing works 100%. Even laser also cant chase them away Im tempted to buy a cheap toy drone to chase them. Dont know effective or not btw i have reported to DBKL. They did send someone to scout around. In their report, they said they caught 8 hahahaha....so dont bother reporting - council is useless |

QUOTE(dudester @ Sep 3 2025, 05:11 PM) you can get plastic spikes from online shops... i got it for anti cat to climb on my walls but the cat happy walking on them. I am thinking of putting those sticky trap use to trap rats. like one says you need to improvise, hang reflective CDs like chap fan shop put some bait on it, so when the bird fly on it, the cardboard get stuck to its feet/ or better still get trap on its beak hahahaha, it will fly with it.
