T he Jabung Block operator closed 2022 with satisfactory results from the drilling programs and execution of new technology and moves forward with confidence for the next year. The Jabung Block contract extension confirmation from the Indonesian government, which allows PetroChina International Jabung Ltd. to lead the operation from 2023-2043, is the major fuel needed to start the aggressive development in Jabung.

Following the contract extension signing in late 2021, PetroChina moved fast with 11 development drilling programs with additional 3 development drilling programs to become 14 development drilling program this year, the field trial for CO2 Injection Huff & Puff technology and other efforts to maximize Jabung Block’s oil-and-gas production. This block, located in Jambi Province, recorded its first oil discovery at the North Geragai Field in 1995 (2 years after the PSC signing), and its first production in 1997 (2 years after the hydrocarbon discovery).

PetroChina took over the Jabung Block operation in 2002 as operator and has successfully recorded stable average daily production above 50,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOEPD) since 2006 up to now. As of September, Jabung Block booked a total production of 399.01 million barrels of oil equivalent (Mmboe) of oil, condensate, LPG

Former CNOOC executive charged in bribery case
By Yang Zekun | chinadaily.com.cn | Updated: 2025-12-11 13:50
Yuan Guangyu, former deputy general manager of China National Offshore Oil Corporation, was officially charged by the People's Procuratorate of Xuzhou in Jiangsu province, the Supreme People's Procuratorate said in a statement on Thursday.

Prior to this, the National Supervisory Commission concluded its investigation into Yuan's case and transferred it to the procuratorial organ for examination and prosecution. Upon the designated jurisdiction by the SPP, the Jiangsu Provincial People's Procuratorate approved Yuan's arrest on suspicion of bribery.

During the examination and prosecution phase, prosecutors informed Yuan of his litigation rights as a defendant, interrogated him, and listened to the opinions of his defender.

The procuratorial organ alleged in the indictment that Yuan — taking advantage of his positions as director of CNOOC Bohai oil administration bureau and executive vice-president and president of CNOOC Limited — sought benefits for relevant units and individuals and illegally accepted property from others, with an extremely huge amount involved. He shall be held criminally responsible for the crime of acceptance of bribes.

Yuan, 66, has worked in the CNOOC system for a long time. He was placed under investigation in March 2025.

they may be fucuk, but at least an aggressive 23% plan to go renewable energy in 2025....unlike us....2-3% on solar only....and thinking 25 years later would be 70%.....with our lapsap and laid back policies...

as we read...bickering over UEC , where as Sarawak just give federal the middle finger, and go ahead brave the future....even learn mandarin, instead being all "insecured" always.

Note: future is East Malaysia....and i really hope so....fucuk West...
