Actually was intercooler leaking. Some turbo car like volkswagen gti the intercooler inside the intake manifold, once leaked the coolant mix into combustion and start misfire.

Not necessary, nowadays a lot of turbo also got coolant to cool down and it can also leak from there, My mechanic encounter BMW B38 turbo leaking coolant also. Good news is turbo can be fix nowadays, a lot of turbo spare part/service kit around to repair if no serious damage.

One bad turbo doesn't make the whole lot stink.

Many turbo diesel engines last more than 300,000 km so probably Ford does a lousy job

Ford also does engine oil soaked timing belt right? 🤭

Actually not only Ford, Honda 1.0T engine (P10A2) also same, luckily it did not bring into Malaysia market officially.

thought TS wanna complaint Turbo engine dont give good FC at high speed, city drive.

There are few cars intercooler got water in it, it is also knew as water cooled intercooler (water-to-air intercooler system).
Early Toyota Celica 4S-GTE engine also use water cooled intercooler.
