I tired it when they had it in Bentley quite a while ago.... used the Marshall AVT150 amp.... sounds ok, but the trem just.... urgh. I don't want to bring back those memories.

It's good enough for general guitar use, but don't expect Les Paul deep tone......

hey guys. i'm actually thinking of getting the gax70. anyone using it currently that would like to give some 'tip-off' feedback so that i won't regret spending on something unworthy?

saw in rhapsody, priced at 728...know anywhere can get a better deal?

I haven't personally tried the gax70 (the one with the double cutaway, almost sg-like right?) but it has been getting good reviews, I was being recommended to get it back when I started playing..

Added on November 15, 2007, 5:31 pmHowever I noticed that GAX are now made of Agathis instead of Basswood like years before, except GAX70. Just to note the difference.

How doyou compare the lo-trs to the edge-pro II or even the original edge/edge-pro
*
from wat i've seen from UG, lo-trs is as bad as edge pro 2, and 3. the nice ones are edge, edge pro, lo pro, zr, n of coz ori floyd.

Oh wait. I read wrong.... I thought you were talking about the other one.
Forgive this old man's squinting eye......

Yes. I DID test out that guitar. It was a little thin, but a proper amp could compensate the "thinnyness"

the edge 2 and edge 3 are that bad?
and the edge pro etc...im sure they're ok...but material wise im not a fan of...i prefer the solid steel and brass of ori floyd.

Yea...seems that it loses tuning after 3 months...then you gotta either block it or switch it to OFR

there's the RG320, RG350, RGR320EX or if you can stretch the budget, the RGT42DX (neck thru)

if you're not into a floating bridge, there's the SA series and the RG fixed bridge...

there's quite a few selection from ibanez with that budget...

OT: went and test the RG1570 prestige, the playability and feel of the guitar is superb...didn't get to test the trem though...
*
can someone explain to me what is
floating bridge?
thank u so much

Basswood has a wide range balance tone. And its light

Well, of coz the Edge Pro and OFR are better, as they even cost more than Edge II, Edge III and LFR.
