Need some guide from the Sifu's here on upgrading my PC.

My current PC super duper loud, annoying as heck...
Aurora R12
11th Gen Intel i7-11700F@2.5GHz
RAM 32GB
GPU : RTX3080

Would appreciate any recommendation/advice... no particular brand love, just looking for the best value for money.
(No monitor/Mouse/keyboard etc required)

Thinking : Budget pls dont exceed RM10k
CPU - AMD? Heard current AMB better value for money
MOBO - Totally no idea
GPU - 5080?
Casing - Fractal (or beQuiet)
RAM/SSD/PSU

I have a fractal casing 10 yrs ago, very quiet i like it alot (maybe cooling not so good and fan inside working overtime but I cant hear it anyway).

I have been checking places liek IdealTech (cause they have Fractal casing), i double check their GPU pricing, its around same as AllIT so thats kinda ok for me.

(Usage if anyone cares, browsing, some games like MMO, SpaceMarines2, RPG, etc. I upgrade my PC every ~4/5 yrs. I run a Samsung Odyssey G7 32" monitor)

CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 7500f (can upgrade to 7800x3D if got extra budget)
MOBO - Gigabyte B850
GPU - MSI 5070TI
Casing - your choice
case fan: Artic P12pro x6
RAM: Kingston Fury 6000mhz 16GB x 2
SSD: Kingston NV3 1TB
PSU: Lian Li EDGE 850w

I'm debating if 5080 vs 5070, if its worth the extra dough. 10~20% inc for 2x the price

5080 is just not worth it for the price tbh.

Yup GPU beyond RTX5070ti is really not really worth it unless you have a lot of money to spend on half of your pc budget then sure go for it
Better spend the rest for CPU like 8700x3D.

Best combo rn is 7800x3d with 9070xt for a high end rig. 5090 just for those with unlimited budget. 5070ti if they definitely need to use CUDA. Others just not worth it price to performance wise.

GOing with AMB GPU? I'm more inclined to go nVidia GPU....

As for CPU, have been using intel all these while but if AMD is ok then its fine too, no brand love on this.

My concern with 5080 is that im not sure its 16GB vram will bottlenecck 4K content or not, if it does, then might as well go 2k and get 5070Ti and maybe upgrade to 6XXX series later for 4K.

your 3080 can still use. No need to replace.

5080 is about 30~40% more $$ then the 5070Ti?

I don't understand. Why n how it is loud? GPU will run loud only if you use GPU extensive apps. What is causing the noise?

The GPU fan, its a far cry from my other system with Fractal casing.

Ya is a prebuilt, will pass it to my daughter for roblox or just use for CCTV etc.

High vram doesnt mean it will be use for gaming all the time, the advantage of having higher vram are when applying other setting like high texture on graphic setting usually will be consume a lot of vram or using for local AI stuff. Usually the cpu will start bottleneck first if you going for higher end gpu.

5070ti are good enough even for 4k gaming, because when you spend more money pass 5070ti price/performance are not really there if you have a budget tu spend. That why go for better CPU since GPU always the faster one to to be updating in future.

Just looking at benchmarks, 5070ti only trails 5080 like around 10%, But somehow 5080 is so much more expensive. So IMO either just get the 5070ti or go all out bangsawan and get the 5090.

Thats why for mid high end the automatic recommendation is the 7800x3d. Eliminate any future bottlenecks with more powerful GPUs.

So far end up with this, totalling about RM9,500.

Not very sure about the cooler, RAM, or PSU though. If need topup to 5080, thats another ~RM1700 (which frankly i might as well topup to 98003XD @ RM1k instead)

5090 is really bangsawan or corporate. Costs as much as manager one month wage hahaha. Bobian because this GPU is too good at AI. They can sell at that price.
