EDIT: Magic numbers below are useless because Ryt is using residual balances. On Day 1 it will seem like rounding up works, but on Day 2 it wont round up. So end results is it evens out..

=================================================================

Magic numbers for you all, based on my understanding.
Will need to confirm the results later..

#1 Ryt Savings Account = 60.84 * 3% / 365 = 0.005 = 0.01

#2 Save Pockets (total 10, for a combined sum of 20k)
20,000 * 1% / 365 = 0.547 = 0.55 is the limit.

So max needed is 0.545 * 365 / 1% = 19892.5 <<< this is the amount needed to be divided across all 10 pockets.
Break it down as follows:
1) Ryt Pocket (aka Pocket 1) = (any amount up to) 19344.94 * 3% / 365 = 1.589 = 1.59
2) Pockets 2-10 = (fixed amount) 60.84 * 3% / 365 = 0.005 = 0.01 x9 = 0.09

Total sum in pockets = 19344.94 + (60.84 * 9) = 19892.5
Total sum in ryt account = 19892.5 (10 pockets) + 60.84 (main) = 19953.34

Final interest gain amounts:
~ 1% bonus = 0.55
~ 3% base = 1.59 + 0.09
=2.23
+ 1 cent from ryt savings account = 2.24 daily for 19953.34 total amount in entire ryt account.

conventional: 19953.34 * 4% /365 = 2.19. Follow my steps and you can get extra 5 cents daily..

Noice their interest crediting very very early.. And can confirm this works thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif

No matter the amount as long as below 20k, will confirm get extra 5 cents daily with magic numbers.

Main savings account and Ryt pocket are incorrect.

The other pockets are correct. Just follow what I have given.

You confirm they merge together or count separately? Too many replies here paiseh sweat.gif

So cannot put 182.50 for per saving pocket * 10 pockets?

FYI, I don't put till the max 20k, just the necessary amount to earn 6-7% p.a.
*
Yes counted separately. 3% base interest is its own calculations, and 1% bonus interest is calculated separately..

Main account + ALL pockets = base rate of 3%. That is why 60.84 works.

1% bonus rate for savings pocket = sum of all pockets

hey bro i follow u make the 10 pocket is 19892.5
then the main account can i left remaining 10k+ in there . just for take usually 3%
*
Can. But if you have somewhere else to park the 10k+ will be better. Either Atlas for 3.88% or GO+ for 3.3%..

If dont have those or already maxed out those, then yeah can put in main account for daily 3% base rate..

Need someone who placed 60.84 in saving pocket the day before yesterday and gotten 1 cent, to confirm whether today received 1 cent?

Need someone who placed 182.50 in saving pocket the day before yesterday and gotten 2 cent, to confirm whether today received 2 cent?

Hmm...... hmm.gif  so there is delay/missing interest disbursement for savings/pockets on 2nd day?

Just so happen my main account still haven't interest on its 2nd day. While the pockets I moved funds in today, already gotten the interest.
*
Yesterday you put 60.84 in main pocket, didn't put any in savings pocket. Received 1 cent in main pocket, correct?
and today you leave 60.84 in main pocket, while you put 60.84 in each savings pocket. Received 1 cent in each savings pocket but not 1 cent in main pocket, correct?

Then this sort of confirms my suspicions that magic numbers might not work at all.. Cause they go by residual balance..

So if Day 1 (60.84 x 3% /365 = 0.005 = 0.01 interest) gets rounded up.. Your balance now becomes -0.005 actually..
Then Day 2 (60.85 x 3% /365 = 0.005 + (-0.005)= 0.00 interest) it doesn't get rounded up and no interest earned on day 2.
And on Day 3 it will follow Day 1 again and the process starts all over..

What I'm surprised by this is that Ryt choose to "upfront" you the first round up..

anyway will need to wait confirmation from those that put 182.50 in day 1 and received 2 cents, whether their day 2 still receive 2 cents or become 1 cent dy due to the residual balance thing..

From my side:

Place 18/8/2025
1 x Save Pocket RM182.50
Interest received = RM0.03
Rate of Return = 6%

Place 19/8/2025
Still the same 1 x Save Pocket RM182.50
Total Interest received = RM0.01
Rate of Return = 2%

The funny thing is the average is 4% haha

So guess its confirmed no magic number advantages with Ryt..

They lend you 0.005 MYR for one day, then deduct it from the next day, hopefully not charging you any overnight interest  laugh.gif .

Hmm... BNM has no rules for counterparty risk like this?

wow exactly like what I said then, that Ryt upfronts you the first round up on Day 1.. Other ewallets or banks usually on Day 2 only we will get the 1 cent.

anyway for those who had pockets already dont so fast close first. Yesterday is the 2nd day and didn't receive the round up right.. Means today is the 3rd day and will be receiving the round up again.. So leave it for today, close it or transfer all to 1 pocket tomorrow onward.

For those of you who yesterday is Day 1, then today can close/transfer all into 1 pocket.

Lol just as i suspected... There would be a glaring flaw in the way Ryt deals with the daily interest..

#1 Because they use a residual balance system, and calculate each savings pocket separately. Theoretically each savings pocket has/follows its own ledger
#2 They upfront you the first round up

Results:
#3 If you were to create 9 pockets named 1-9 on Day 1 with 60.84 deposit and received 1 cent in each pocket for a total of 9 cents..
Then on Day 2, close Pocket 1-9..Create another 9 pockets named 1A-9A on Day 2 with 60.84 deposit.. You will again receive 1 cent in each pocket, totaling 9 cents.

Keep creating and closing pockets and Ryt's residual balance system will be completely moot as it never catches up to you.
And this is just going to make their database/spreadsheets/tracking one huge giant mess.

Whether it's worth doing or not depends on whether you really really want that 4.5 cents gain.
60.84 * 9 = 547.56
Dumping it all into 1 pocket: 547.56 * 3% /365 = 0.045
Creating/Closing pockets daily to get the rounding: 547.56 * 6% /365 = 0.09

Well done mate, you might be up to something. So the idea is to close and reopen pockets on every alternate day right for a 6% p.a. earning?

Can we do that with 182.50 as well?

They think they are smart, now we are ready to show them who games the system better laugh.gif
*
can do that for any amount that have rounding.

if you going to open/close pocket, then need to do every day not alternate day.. if alternate day it will be same like the default now..

you open and close every day cause you want to get a "fresh" pocket's ledger that starts on Day 1 with 0.00

For the same pocket, yes.

If your Day 1 is rounded down, the system keeps the residual balance record of it.. So on Day 2 you will get rounded up.

Well for some people it might be

Takes around 2-3 mins to close 9 pockets and open 9 pockets, and you get 4.5 cents for it

May I know what's your app version? Mine is on v1.16.0. There are no updates available on the Play Store, and my home screen doesn't have the banner

A possible reason is that they are doing the phase rollout on the Pay Later, so not everyone got it

either that or they go by your declared income bracket..

maybe for now only offered to those who declared above certain income bracket
