I don't know about other classes 'cos i'm not familliar with the spells,
but they nerfed warrior  shakehead.gif They took away the disarm immunity,
and they even swapped its place with improved intercept (which is crap) but now i auto learnt
improved intercept 'cos it's in weapon mastery's place... WTF man ???

At least give a free unlearn talent lah...
Then there is this thing about swapped deathwish with sweeping strikes but i'm fine with it
'cos i planned to get DW anyway.

And i'm not happy about the faster leveling either. I'm trying to keep my level low while i farm for
gold and ores to work towards a high level BS weaponsmith before dropping it. You don't wanna drop it
at a high level. Dangit, i'm really affected by this release.  vmad.gif  mad.gif  vmad.gif

a buff to disarm mechanic is NOT a nerf to warriors.

and no, warriors got buffed instead of nerf. pvp talents are consolidated in arms and pve talents in fury, that allows better point allocation and opens up additional kinds of builds

=edit=
also unless ur having some kinda wierd mentality here, dropping professions at any level does not have any impact to your character. as a matter of fact, the higher level you are, the easier you're able to acquire resources as monsters guarding said ores will be easier to kill, or too low level to even aggro you.

I see your point on blue text, but you're merely referring to the swapped locations of both skillz.
What i'm upset about is they removed the disarm immunity.... that's a nerf no matter how u see it.

And about red text, it costs more gold to drop out of weapon/armorsmith at higher levels to learn the other.
user posted image

and they didn't even give a free unlearn talent  vmad.gif  mad.gif

weapons are warrior's bread and butter... without it = no damage.
And you can't even use most of your skills without a weapon.... warriors got nerfed.
reducing 50% time of being disarmed is not good enough.
*
disarm immunity nerf is applied to everyone:
rogues/hunters/enh shams/retardins and so on.

so they now all got nerfed?

disarm mechanic was pretty much deemed useless due to a simple item thats crafted from a recipe from scarlet monastery. and it dragged all the way to burning crusade. something has got to be done, or you may as well remove the disarm skill altogether. this is whats done, and again, its not a nerf to warriors, you can either get a weapon chain again, or just learn the same weapon expertise talent, no big deal.

=edit=
wtf that minor bit of gold also fuss? and duh the higher level you are the more gold you earn. a quest from say level 1 prolly yields few copper while a quest from level 70 yields like 10-30g. if its around the 20g level, 5 quests and ur done on the blacksmithing fee.

=edit2=

What do you mean "disarm immunity is applied to everyone" ?
weapon mastery is a warrior-only skill IIRC.
Yes, the new disarm mechanics is applied to everyone..
but the nerfing of weapon mastery is suffered by warriors only.

yeah, of cos i am fussing about a few gold...
'cos i'm not about to pay for nothing.
I ain't paying just becos they fixed a bug/balanced the game.

edit:
what's that item from SM u're talking about?
*
my bad, missed out a word.

anyways, talent yes, but put it this way, theres just no way a class can escape this balance where the rest of the world have to get disarmed. so obviously they are gonna get the same 'nerf' too.

and if ur not gonna pay, just dont, simple as that really.

=edit=
bs recipe, steel weapon chain. only drops from SM armory or was it cathedral

Quaza, i need to fill in 2 more points in ARMS..

Which one should i spend if given the choice
- improved hamstring
- improved disciplines
- 2h weapon specialization
- iron will
- improved rend (crap)
- improved thunderclap (crap)

the last 2 are crap, so it's out of consideration.
2h weapon specialization is crap too in my opinion, cos 1% is just too little.
Let's assume i deal 500dmg with a 2h Axe. 1% of that is only an extra 5dmg for every talent point.
*
- improved hamstring is for the most part shitty in pve, but pvp its awesome, especially to latency handicapped users.
- improved disciplines is pretty decent in pve, especially if ur gonna be using those cooldowns oftenly, but in pvp, especially arenas, the cool down is either too long, or outright banned from arenas.
- not much to say bout 2h weapon spec, but you can think of it this way:
you have 2h spec, warrior b doesnt
your swing does 505 dmg, warrior b only 500
over the duration of 5minutes, adding in instants and swings, it'll definitely be more than just 5 dmg.
theoretically speaking, you may as well say the said 2h weap spec, adds 5% dps increase, in which over a long fight of say 1million dmg, 5% of that 1million is rather significant.
- iron will is almost a must in pvp, pve however its debatable, due to its random chance base. but having it can have its benefit as resisting stuns compared to not resisting them at all is a good feat. especially on critical mob/boss/raid fights etc. even better if ur an orc to stack the bonus.
- imp rend is pretty much crap loler
- imp thunderclap isnt crap in pve, in fact in end game raids its damn useful at mitigating dmg, and additionaly generate additional aggro from its bonus dmg. not to mention 4 rage cheaper thunder claps, added with focused rage in prot, is 7 rage cheaper.

If ur still pvping, the pre-dominant spec still stays the same. Nothing much is gonna change with the swapped talents. Although there is some flexibility in going for endurance by speccing 21points into prot.

And disarm is more disadvantage to us is cos our avoidance are normally much lesser than rogues. Granted rogues and warriors are the dominant force in melee ( dun take ret pallies n enh shamans into a/c, they were a given to be disarm pre-patch 2.3) the number of times i see the word dodge when i try to disarm a rogue is literally countless. Hence it does puts us in a lousier situation than a rogue.

Added on November 14, 2007, 11:45 am

Are u speccing for pvp? And are u lvl 70?
*
lousier or not, the fact that disarm has been totally ditched due to immunities in almost every player in high end arenas is a problem. if you didnt knew, basically no warrior in high end arenas even care to disarm and some to an extent removed the hotkey itself. that pretty much rendered a mechanic blizzard designed to nothing, and this change is a positive direction to make disarming viable, and even a key in arena skillplay.

well at least someone's thinking positive of the new disarm changes for a change.
and just like you guys, rogue disarmed cant do shit either. only difference is that we can still swing our offhands while you guys punch.

So....

- Iron Will or
- 2H Weapon Specialization or
- Improved ThunderClap ?

i can't make up my mind  icon_question.gif
I need to spend 2 points, help me choose.  icon_question.gif

if its those 3 choices, imo it breaks down to:

iron will - pvp
2h spec - pve/pvp
imp tclap - pve

Patch 2.3 discussion?

I thought the new Battlemaster pvp trinkets (Audacity, Perseverence, etc) are purchased with Honor points. Wtf now they have to be purchased with freaking Badges of Justice?

And I hoarded 35k honor points just to get me one of those trinkets. -______________-
*
you can buy them from both sources, honor or badges. blizz just catering both worlds. what i hated was the cloak only available through badge. but oh wells i got it farmed before 2.3 tongue.gif
and im wearing it now enchanted too... armory me tongue.gif

Hey king83, why not post it on wow forums and see what kind of response you get? Not happy send a ticket or a petition to Blizzard.
I've been playing WoW since it beta days. Numerous talent, spells, exploits had been taking out and added on since that very first
day till now. The reason is to balance out every class, which is very far almost there but i believe it's really hard to do so.
Rant more about your f***ing warrior? Mentioning about priest, I am a shadow spec priest i PvP at least 6 hours a day,  1 hour arena and 5 hours
BG's. I am not trying to show off whether i am good in PvPing or not, rather the fact i believe that i PvP more than you do. Priest why do they need a nerfing? Beacuse they heal when you hit them? Or the power word shield?

I've never spec holy besides when i was helping my very first guild taking down Ragnaros in MC after that i was full shadow from BWL, AQ20,40,ZG and even till Naxx.

What did shadowpriest get for PvP skills/TBC? A shadow word death that backlash myself if not time properly? A 400 dot persecond that generates mana? Thats the only two new offensive spells that i get, and i don't want to pin point on warriors, what about Warlocks? Rogues? Warlock, chain fear dots and pet? Rogue chain stun lock and combo points + cloak of shadow which removes all shadow dots and +90% shadow resist? How would you feel playing a shadow caster? Mage ice spec? Ice block which removes all dot and freeze yoursef? As a priest the only Viable CC i have in PvP is fear which even warrior has it? Which resist most of it time or even breaking it after 1.5 seconds? If you wanna surivive seriously learn to plan and learn to adapt, there are numerous videos out there showing specified class owning in PvP and of course in PvP gear check is also needed.

Want a rant? I do hope the additional +2hrs maintenance is to nerf locks, rogue, war.
*
wanna be op? go spec disc priest.

ur no different than the destro locks that QQ about how warlocks suck when their SL/SL or AFF counterparts are dominating the entire high end pvp scene.

I don;t really care if you stereotype me with your QQ lock's or what i am just telling the obvious, that all games ppl whine and say its OP OP OP just that you gotta live with it, when not knowing other class also suffers when they buff a particular class. No ty when a good player truly plays it character properly and master it, again stereo as OP? = )
*
well said then. so:

you got CC right?

wanna take a look at shamans who have none?

as ive said, spec disc if you wanna be op'ed, because disc priests are seriously op'ed now.
