QUOTE(cyclopcom @ Aug 3 2025, 07:31 PM) The outlet on the left side of this 2T fuel tank is broken. It connects to a metal pipe. What is this outlet used for? Can I just ignore it? what bike is this? see if you can trace the metal pipe goes to where? if it's a Yamaha YCLS system, then it's a return hose for extra 2T when you close throttle

QUOTE(cyclopcom @ Aug 4 2025, 11:36 AM) It's difficult to trace, have to remove the 2T tank and open the motor body to trace it. This model is very old yamaha model, about 198x. I'd checked it on web and perhaps it is a breather pipe, just not sure. if it's the Y80 with autolube, quite likely it's the oil return hose I'd suggest removing the broken part, and get a clear oil hose to join to the metal hose, and push the other end of the clear hose into the white oil tank. If needed, make the oil tank hole bigger to fit

QUOTE(cyclopcom @ Aug 4 2025, 02:21 PM) yup,it is y80,but i'd checked with web and found that there is no so called oil return hose for a 2 stroke engine autolube system, and it also said it goes one way — into the engine, not back to the tank. ok, then it's similar to Y100, that is just atmospheric or overflow hose

QUOTE(cyclopcom @ Aug 4 2025, 05:03 PM) so is it ok to ignore it? or just use tape to close the hole? because i am lazy to go repair since it seems like not a serious problem if i fill it not too full. ignore don't overfill 2T can liao
