Now most of the phone repair are just to swap parts off.... very basic
swap crack screen
swap battery
swap board

require basic soldering skill, minor knowledge on how to remove the existing phone and put it back together with all the glue/sticky tape all being package as a kit. Just need to buy the parts.

no more diagnosing what is wrong with the phone like the old days, or like the tronixfix guy in youtube repairing broken playstation, xbox or switch

I have bought lcd screens/digitiser, battery, and boards for repair on phone/laptops before.

Is this a good career path to take?

good or not dunno la....

you might want to go work with one of these repair shop to start off.

maybe can expand the business instead of just sitting and fixing phone, got many phone to fix in a day?
own shop/stall, you need to source parts and keep spare parts, rent shop, sell other stuffs, case, screen protector, headphone, etc to survive

my cousin used to work doing repairing electronic/eletrical stuffs like tv, radio, washing machine, fridges, now mostly people use and throw, so he mostly sell them, collect the old ones people dont want anymore, repair when free and sell again as 2nd hand goods.
