Stated when i start the pc..saying something like "fan not detected, press F1 to continue,F2 to setup utility"

It was there since my previous fan has malfunction, now i change a new one ,and yet is still stated there..

the fan is working fine ,though is bit noisy..

download some software namely speedfan and pcwizard ,trying to get into some fan control options ,but the software too dont detect the newly installed fan..

please help me to solve this problem..

thx in advance notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

Try messing with the fan connector(may be loose)...

Of course it would detect as least CPU fan ...

if no fan is detected for CPU fan header .. it would post the message in BIOS ...

If it's loose it won't even run .. dude doh.gif

TS already mentioned the fan were running, but I hope he knows that CPU fan header must have a fan connected ..

On which ground u suggest the fan header is installed reversely ??

There's always a distinguish side for the fan header to plug in ... there's no way that it could be plug upside down unless TS really got no idea how to plug a fan properly or reading the shape of both connectors ..

@xirezd

1st Did u plug the fan into the CPU fan header ?

2nd Did u by accident mount the fan header up side down (which not possible coz the fan won't even run at all)

3rd Does ur new fan comes with two or three wires ? ( Two wires type usually doesn't support speed sensor)

Check all three condition and see whether either one is the reason ..

It comes with three wires...

if the fan plug is rightly able to connect into somewhere in the cpu, i guess that must be the cpu fan header plug..

and no, it wasnt connect directly to the power supply ,it is connected to the mobo

Are u very sure?
Coz my cpu fan is connected directly to the fan controller, not onto the mobo..
