 Maxis Fiber always high ping and packet loss

Hi all,

I already suffer for this case almost 2 months, almost every day around 2pm to 4pm, there is always very high ping and packet lost. When doing conference call, there is very high delay in voice. When playing online game like dota2, ping will be spike to 200+ms and packet lost is 80%. Sometime it will disconnect to WAN as well with my router log show as follow:
Jul 9 16:37:13 pppd[22975]: Modem hangup
Jul 9 16:37:13 pppd[22975]: Connection terminated.
Jul 9 16:37:13 pppd[22975]: Failed to disconnect PPPoE socket: 114 Operation already in progress

I complaint many times to Maxis many times, below are the thing they done:
1. reset port.
2. clean up and reset connection from their side.
3. ask TM come change my modem.

But it dint help at all.

Then I try to change my house router and the LAN cable between Modem and Router as well but does not help.
Maxis keep claim their side no problem and unable to identify the root cause why only happen on 2pm to 4pm.

Thinking port to Unifi, not sure will this help. All sifus, any suggestion you guys have?

i have similar case as urs, once raining, my BTU get disconnected. Found out that my cable from outside into my home is bad. The fiber reading was bad ~ 28-30dbM.

After replacing the fiber optic cable, the fiber reading went down to 20dBm and it is currently stable until today.
Maybe you want to check your fiber reading.

How long have you been using the modem? Sometimes it could be a faulty modem giving high errors.

Maxis and TM people come check fiber reading last 2 weeks, both party claim reading is good.

TM replace my modem 2 weeks ago but issue still there, Maxis try to blame my router as I use Asus XT8. But I explain to them, I have 2 XT8 i tried both issue still happen, I also have one old router AC68, I try use that for monitor issue also can happen.

Before 2pm or after 4pm, basically issue wont happen anymore. this is weird thing...

I think u better get a fiber optic meter from Shopee/Lazada and monitor it yourself.

Maxis and Unifi also LPPL... I also with Maxis for 10 years before this then migrate to Unifi for 2 years. Now move to 5G wireless home and no more problem.

Both Maxis and Unifi throttle connection on weekdays. Maxis need to wait until 12AM then only smooth. Unifi more or less same. Maxis seems to throttle more on streaming. Even live youtube FHD also cant stream without lag. Once I turned on VPN all smooth. Unifi also same but sometimes ok sometimes worse.

If use china app a lot like Taobao, Unifi is worse than Maxis. At first I thought my phone lag until I turned off wifi and everything loads instantly.

I tried with dota2 during that moment, ping normally goes until 200+ms and packet lost ard 80%+. My wife coference meeting at that moment say the conversation is delay ard 10 seconds or opponent keep say cant hear u u r dropping..

Since your issue at 2-4pm, do they come check during this period or other period … should be able to simulate to them so cant deny …maybe your area congest …

The issue intermittent, they came that moment once but cant see issue once they back then issue happen.. haizz… the latest updates from them is they will arrange TM come and change the port this week.

After I port the to Unifi, everything good. no more high ping and packet loss. So it shoulds be MAxis problem unfortunately they unable to find the problem.
