I’m planning to rebuild my PC and would love to get some feedback before committing to the purchase. Below is my current proposed build, aimed mainly at gaming (some AAA titles, some eSports), with some light productivity use.
Total price (rough): RM8450 – RM9300 depending on bundle/pricing
A Few Questions: 1. Does the build look solid and balanced? Any parts I should change or be cautious about? 2. Is the ID-Cooling A720 sufficient for the 7800X3D long-term? (Not planning to overclock.) 3. Any compatibility issues I might have missed? 4. Monitor Advice Needed – I’m currently on a BenQ XL2411Z (1080p 144Hz TN) which has served me well for years in FPS titles, but I feel like it won't do justice to the RTX 5070 Ti.
I’m considering upgrading to something like the BenQ MOBIUZ EX2710Q (1440p 165Hz IPS). Would that be a worthwhile upgrade? Any better options in the RM1000–RM1500 range for 1440p 144–165Hz gaming?
Any input would be super appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Looking at shopee pricing since still got payday sale going on.
Cut the RAM back to 6000 CL30. More than that needs a win on lottery. Get 850W for better future proofing.
IINM you can get a 5070 Ti for less than RM4K, but I'm not sure whether you can still get one Tip: you might want to check what your local brick and mortar stores can offer

can bump up your monitor budget? if can go to about 2k - 2.3, then i would recommend the Gigabyte Mo27Q2 which is a 27'' 1440p QD Oled, Semi glossy. I bought for myself hence why i can easily recommend.

I use the X870 MSI Tomahawk Wifi, which is the more premium version of yours. So yeah i think it's a good board, you went for the more bang for buck version so good choice.
7800X3d is a good cpu. If you were willing to pay an extra Rm 1k, you could have gotten the 9800X3D. Personally i didn't want to pay more. For overclock you can go to PBO tuner in the bios and put it to negative -20 this will reduce temp, increase performance, and reduce power usage. No reason not to do it. If system unstable, you can reduce from 20 to 10 and so on. Some people said sometimes 30 works as well, so maybe start with that first but for me 30 it crash.
I can vouch for this cpu cooler. I'm using it with Kingston fury beast ram, it's a perfect fit.
The monitor is no good. I understand the ips monitors are going for a very good price these days, BUT, I highly recommend you add Rm 2.3k into your budget and get a gaming oled monitor. Specifically the Gigabyte MO27Q2 which is a GEN 3 (Gen 4 are coming out now or soon if u can wait) qd oled semi glossy 1440p 27'' 240hz freesync. The price for this on shopee was good so i bought this for myself. You won't regret.
that 5070 TI needs a beefy psu to feed it. I don't thinkl 750watt is good enough. I think 850 watt was mentioned for the 5070 TI? I would recommend Seasonic brand. Not a must as there also some other good psu brands out there as well.
For ram i went with a kingston fury beast cl30 DDR5 6000M/T EXPO KIT of 2 sticks 16gb (32GB total)
Check on kingston website, AND, also on the msi motherboard model website, whether the ram you are using is in the QXL list.
I dont know about other ram, but the one i bought worked with the cpu cooler mentioned. Be wary of the ram height, if too tall might not fit the cooler. so be careful.
Not familiar with the lian li case but i liked this one from bequiet.
Personally i use a fractal torrent, i love this case. For fan cooling few years back it was the king for air cooling. Looks great, good cooling, easy to use.

The parts line up well for gaming with the 7800X3D and the 5070 Ti. The A720 tower cooler is enough for stock settings since that chip runs cool compared to others in the lineup. No compatibility issues stand out with the B650 Tomahawk and the RAM choice. A monitor jump to a 1440p 165 Hz IPS panel will feel like a real upgrade from the old 1080p TN, and the EX2710Q or EX2710U sit in the right range if the price is good.
