In line with CPETTR 2024, sellers are required to:
Disclose Seller's Information:
Accurately disclose the seller's name / company's name, website address (if any), email address, telephone number, and business address on the online marketplace. This information will be displayed to buyers on the Shopee platform.
Use National Language (Bahasa Malaysia):
All seller information, product titles and descriptions shall be provided in Bahasa Malaysia (excluding brand names). Additional translations in other languages may be included.
Provide Valid Product Certifications:
For applicable products that have followed the standard of safety and health as determined by the relevant authority, provide / upload the corresponding certification details in your listing.
Sellers failing to comply with the Regulations may face the following enforcement actions from KPDN pursuant to the Consumer Protection Act 1999:
First Offence: Fine up to RM50,000, imprisonment up to 3 years, or both.
Second or Subsequent Offence: Fine up to RM100,000, imprisonment up to 5 years, or both.
First Offence: Fine up to RM100,000.
Second or Subsequent Offence: Fine up to RM200,000.
