get at least a 8400M nvidia or ati 3470 to play those games. But you will be playing them at low-med quality at 1024 resolution since you want 2 be cheaper.
Other then that most new mobile processors will hand the game.

QUOTE(normeck @ Oct 14 2008, 10:15 AM) from my previous post...HD3450 was better GC for 2k++ lappy... what about GC = 9200GS 256MB price = RM3100 i dont mind to add up if its worth it... Should go for 2GB ram rather then stick with 1 Gb, later will regret. A tip is not to go for the 3GB option since it will actually slow down your machine due to dual channel memory needs both ram to be of the same quantity, if not it will no perform that well. Notebookreview has a few reviews which demo that a 2GB machine is faster then a 3GB machine.

QUOTE(normeck @ Oct 14 2008, 11:37 AM) RAM i will get 2GB.. what about graphic card?...is it 9200GS > HD3450? i want to play game with no lag at medium setting... The 3450 is better, by about 10-15% compared to the 9200GS. Depending on what game also, crysis playing on med with 3450 will sure lag. Also have to see your screen resolution.

QUOTE(normeck @ Oct 14 2008, 11:44 AM) this is the game that i want to play... wahhh...HD3450 is better than 9200GS?... You can play those games, just not at full quality and resolution with the current graphics card which you have mentioned. Fifa and silkroad no prob, the others like oblivion and NFS you wont be able to play at high, i think low-med would be ok. This post has been edited by crapp0: Oct 14 2008, 02:26 PM

QUOTE(jjsia @ Oct 15 2008, 12:58 AM) what i m asking is about the definition of 100% full CPU offload for HD videos. Any1 care to clarify tis? thx Its nothing too important 2 worry about this. Unless you want 2 watch HD movies then your better off buying the new acer gemstone or HP HDX whose screens are designed perfectly for HD format and blue ray disc video format.

QUOTE(jjsia @ Oct 15 2008, 10:12 AM) i plann to use the lappy 4 watching hd video with my 42" plasma via hdmi. so does the graphic card has significant effect? or which graphic card would be better? the newer graphics card are designed to handle HD formats more efficiently but it should be fine with even an older 8400m gs. I do know that the ATI card starting from the 3000 series and beyond oledi have support for HD format, not too sure about nvidia but it would rather stupid to have a notebook with HDMI socket but your graphics processor cant output HD video to a display unit. So i wouldnt be too concern about it.

QUOTE(Ryu8 @ Oct 21 2008, 03:22 PM) Never heard of that 3d chipset b4. Do you know the 3d graphic card model name? If i not mistaken you could play dota and CS, but newer games are out of the question unless you play at lowest setting, and i mean lowest.
