Hi there,
I'm planning to get back into PC gaming after 20 years. I'm completely out of touch with modern PC gaming. So, today I went to a shop and saw a few but I have my eyes on one rig. Can you guys help me to see if the specs below are worth the price? I'm hoping to run the latest single player games at 1440p 120hz at least.
1. AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
2. Gigabyte AMD AM5 B650M Gaming Plus WiFi
3. Kingston Fury 32GB DDR5 (6000MT/s 16GB*2)
4. Kingston M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe Gen4 NV3 1TB
5. VGA PALIT nVidia RTX5080 16GB GDDR7
6. FSP VITA GM 1000W 80PLUS Power Supply
7. Tecware Edge Air ATX Casing
8. Cooler ID-CoolingFX Liquid Cooling
*No keyboard & mouse, Windows 11 Trial only*
Price: RM10,232

The 5080 is way too expensive for what it offers IMHO - especially when you are considering that the card offers a ~13% performance advantage over the 5070 Ti at a ~42% price premium (using TMT prices and Hardware Unboxed benchmarks)

If you are willing to live with 'worse' RT performance you can even get a RX 9070XT for even less (with very comparable raster performance to the 5070 Ti)

1TB storage for a 10K machine? Consider that modern AAA titles can take up 100GB+ I'd definitely recommend you to go for a 2TB drive at the very minimum, preferably with a DRAM cache like what
TristanX suggested

Another suggestion - I think it might be a better idea to go for an ATX motherboard over a mATX one as they tend to offer more expansion for future use cases

Tip: you might want to try surveying for current GPU prices at a few brick and mortar shops around your area, sometimes you can get GPUs at a cheaper price than what the online retailers charge
