My female colleague often boasts about having “many” former coworker/ex-colleagues connection and stay in touch with them. Not insurance agent.

Colleague is a Friend?

Kelik is kelik. You can choose friends but not kelik.

Unless you resign or fuck them over till they get fired

There are 3 types of friends, someone taught me. I think someone even came out with video about it

1. Friends that you gain benefits - you only get together because of business transaction or work
2. Friends that only come together for common interest like your sports kaki
3. Friends who will support and push you in pursuit of life goals. Best friends usually

Friends can have many different levels, why some of you so damn anti-social or expect too much out of "friends"?

I still remember my group of colleagues when I just started out working more than a decades ago. This group of us even go out for domestic and overseas trips together in the span of few years. Those are the time.

Now this same company grow bigger, and the new employees came in and they went for some domestic trip together. Guess what, they are never the same again after that trip.

I guess company culture make a big difference.
